Previous knowledge

: Students are familiar with information on the benefits of having a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

General objectives

: To educate students on maintaining a healthy diet.

Specific objectives

: 1. When listening to the video, students should be able to identify the theme of the video with 80% accuracy. 2. While reading the passage, students should be able to answer the Sign Post Questions on the right side of the article with the vocabulary provided in the matching meaning exercise. 3. With reference to the passage, students should be able to identify the main ideas of the article and transfer the information to the table provided with 80% accuracy. 4. With reference to the passage, students should be able to complete the food pyramid with 70% accuracy. 5. After reading the role cards and taking part in the role play, students should be able to make oral evaluation on the positive and negative eating styles of the characters in the role play. 6. After the oral evaluation on healthy diet, students should be able to produce a one-week healthy eating plan.

While discussing on the Sign Post Questions of a particular paragraph, teacher asks students to find the meanings of the bolded words in the matching exercise. 5. Students will complete the matching exercise at the end of this activity.
