Instruction to the student

On issue of Call Letter, you will receive a message on your email and SMS on your mobile no. Email and mobile numbers will be the same as you have mentioned in the application form. The e-mail/sms will contain password for downloading the Call Letter from admission module. Click on the admission module link in url www.bhuonline.in Following Screen/page will appear on your browser.

You will have two choices. Applicant: This link will provide you screen for filling various options. Call letter already sent: If you did not receive call letter but your rank is within the range of students called for Counseling. Click to Applicant link. Following screen will appear

Enter your exam roll no as mentioned in admit card, and enter password provided to you.

There will be a link/buttons in the right navigation bar. Some of the link are grey they are not active.

Course Eligibility & Regular Fee will give you various Eligibility criterias. Counseling Schedule: your date of counseling as you received in the Call letter. Click on Course Eligibility & Regular Fee above screen will give you information related to the course you are applying. Click on Download Call letters, this is the call letter which has been generated for you.

Click to Download Other Format. Following screen will appear, Three types of form will need to be filled and downloaded. o Format of Antiragging Afidavit o Format of Undertaking o Dossier Form

Couseling Procedure

The University will adopt computerized counseling procedure for admissions to various courses during the academic session 2013-14. The counseling procedure will involve following steps: Step: 1 Online Preference Entry (on or after 17th July 2013 and before the Counseling Date) Every candidate called for counseling for admission to a Course shall be required to fill up an online Preference Entry Form. Please click on the Button Preference Entry on the Candidate segment of the Entrance Test Portal [www.bhuonline.in] for online preference entry. In the Preference Entry Form, a candidate is required to give his preference of the following: STEP 2: Activity on the day of Counselling Reach the counselling venue at the prescribed time/date given in this Call letter. Contact the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge and mark your attendance by signing the attendance sheet available with the Counselling Centre Incharge. Discuss with the teachers available at the Counselling Centre/Venue about the available Honours/Course Combinations [UG programmes of Faculty of Science, Arts and Social Science etc], Options of PG courses [in case common entrance test is held for admission to more than one course], locations and fee structures, availability of hostels etc. In case you want to change your preference [earlier filled up by you ONLINE], you can do at this stage. Request the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge for change. After preference entry form is finalised, get its printout, sign it and submit it alongwith other required original documents at the Verification Desk. Preference Entry Form once signed and confirmed by a Candidate on the Counselling Date shall be final and shall not be changed later. The computer will allot seats strictly in order of merit in the entrance test taking into account the order of preference filled up by the candidate and availability of seats. NOTE: If a Reserved Meritorious candidate is called for counselling alongwith General category candidates his/her claim on seats reserved for his/her category shall remain intact. In case you are provisionally admitted, collect the Provisional Admission Letter from the Counselling Centre/ Venue Incharge at 10:00 am on the next day of Counselling.. The Admission letter will show the course in which you are provisionally admitted on the date of counselling, amount of admission fee (regular fee) to be paid and deadline for fee payment (ordinarily 4:00 pm of the day following the Counselling date). In case you are provisionally admitted to a special Course of Study or on Paid Seat, you will be required to pay the Special Course/ Paid Seat Fee in addition to regular Fee of the Course. Please checkup from the Counselling Centre Incharge about the amount, mode of payment and deadline for payment of Special Course/ Paid Seat Fee. Mode of Payment of Admission Fee (Regular Fee of the University): After the candidate has received the provisional admission letter from the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge, he/she will have following options for payment of Admission Fee:

a) Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance Test portal b) Payment of Fee in cash at the Fee Counters (check the location of the nearest Fee Counter at the Counselling Centre/Venue) STEP 3: Activity on next day of Counselling date Candidates must submit the proof of payment of admission fee to the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge latest by 04:00 pm on the next day of the Counselling (deadline for payment of Fee). This will not be required if fee is paid Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance Test portal. In case they fail to produce the evidence/proof of payment by the said deadline, it will be presumed that he/she is not interested in the admission and his provisional admission letter shall be treated as cancelled/withdrawn. NOTE After (i) each day of counselling and (ii) fee payment deadline, computerised allotment/rearrangement of seats in order of merit and based on preference of candidates and availability of seats will be done. There are chances of upward mobility of candidates in the order of preference filled up by him/her after subsequent days of counselling/ last day of counselling if the seats in the higher preferences of a candidate get vacated after he/she has attended the counselling. This will be done automatically by the computer. The final allotment will be done by the computer only after the expiry of payment deadline of the last date of counselling. Based on the preference of candidate given at the time of counselling, there could be change in course options, location and seat type (free to paid and vice versa). The final allotment done in this manner shall be binding on the candidate. IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION Candidates must read carefully the under mentioned general information and conditions for the provisional admission. Non-compliance of any condition shall disqualify a candidate for provisional admission. The candidates must note: (i)In this Call letter for Counselling, the place of reporting is mentioned. The candidate should reach to the concerned office on the date and time as mentioned. (ii)The admission to a particular Course in the Faculty/Mahila Mahavidyalaya/Affiliated Colleges/ Rajeev Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, Mirzapur as the case may be, shall be done as per merit and choice of the candidate. Presence of parents/guardians of female candidates called for counselling is desirable. The completion of necessary formalities for provisional admission may take generally 2-3 days. Accordingly the outstation candidates are advised to come prepared to stay at Varanasi for the aforesaid period. BHU Employees Ward category candidates are required to submit a certificate of the Employee's Ward in the prescribed format duly signed and issued by the

Deputy Registrar (Admin-LTC Cell) only. For this purpose, the candidate is required to apply to the Deputy Registrar (Admin-LTC Cell), immediately after the receipt of the Call Letter and submit an application on the prescribed format obtainable from the concerned office. The provisional admission of the candidate to the concerned Course of Study shall be subject to such ordinances, rules and regulations as may be framed from time to time by the University. Hostel accommodation is not guaranteed. However, if it is available, it shall be allotted strictly on the basis of the merit index of the concerned Entrance Test 2013 excluding those candidates residing in the nearby areas in the city/locality of Varanasi. Mere provisional admission shall not entitle any student to a seat in the University Hostel. The date of commencement of classes of the concerned Course of Study shall be as per the time schedule prescribed by the University. Candidate provisionally selected for admission shall be required to collect his/her Admit Card on the day of counselling, deposit the prescribed fee by the prescribed date/time mentioned on the Admit Card and submit a copy of the evidence of payment of admission fee to the Counselling Centre Incharge within the prescribed deadline failing which he/she shall forfeit his/her claim for the provisional admission. The candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are exempted from payment of non refundable component of the fee provided the annual income of their parents is less than Rs.1 lakh. Accordingly, prospective candidates belonging to the said category desirous of availing this facility are required to furnish a certificate to this effect from the competent authority at the time of admission. It has been decided by the University to grant waiver of non-refundable component of regular fee to the dependent children of Leprosy Affected Persons (LAPs). Accordingly, candidates desirous of availing the aforesaid facility (on provisional admission) should produce/bring (at the time of Counselling) a certificate issued by the Government District Hospital to the effect that their parent(s) (as per the details furnished in the UET/PET form) are Leprosy Affected Persons (LAPs). Enrolment: All newly admitted students must get themselves enrolled by 31st October 2013. For the purposes of enrolment only original documents (marksheets of the qualifying examination, marksheet/certificate of high school, TC and/or Migration Certificate) shall be entertained. In case a provisionally admitted candidate fails to produce the said documents by 31st October 2013, his/her admission shall be cancelled forthwith. Only the local Court of Varanasi/Honorable High Court of Judicature at Allahabad/ Honorable Supreme Court of India shall have jurisdiction in case of any dispute relating to the provisional admission.
