4th of July Beach Bag By: Lily Sugar 'n Cream Make a red, white, and blue splash this summer with a 4th of July beach bag. You can create your very own using this free crochet pattern. Put your beach towel, flip flops, sunglasses, and sun screen all in this bag.

Contrast A (00001 White) 6 balls Contrast B (00095 Red) 5 balls Contrast C (00028 Delft Blue) 6 balls or Lily Sugarn Cream (Ombres 56.7 g/2 oz/86 m/95 yds) Contrast A 7 balls Contrast B 6 balls Contrast C 7 balls Yarn: Size 5 mm (U.S.H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

Size: 15 ins [38 cm] wide x 8 ins [20.5 cm] deep x 16 ins [40.5 cm] high. Gauge: 12 dc and 6 rows using 2 strands of yarn tog = 4 ins [10 cm]. Instructions: Note: To change color, work to last 2 loops on hook. Draw loop of next color through 2 loops on hook to complete st and proceed in next color. Stripe Pat With A, work 2 rows. Join Base to Panels: With RS of Base facing, place lower edge of joined Panels behind Base with WS of work tog, aligning corners of Base with joining rows of Panels. Next rnd: Ch 1. A July 4th Crochet Afghan By: Caron Yarn Support that red, white and blue by crocheting this fabulous 4th of July afghan. Bring it with you to the parade so you can display your patriotism.

Instructions: STRIPED BLOCKS: (Make 10) With Red, ch 39. 1. Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in ea ch across, turn. 2. Row 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in ea st across, turn. 3. Row 3: Rep row 2 keeping in pattern, work 3 rows White, 3 rows Red, alternately until there are 13 stripes. Fasten off. 4. 4th of July Potholders By: Bernat Crochet a fabulous pair of 4th of July potholders to celebrate the holiday. This free crochet pattern comes with four variations of the potholder. Make one or make them all.

830-099 Cotton-Ease: Almond (C) (one ball) Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size G-hook Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)

GAUGE: 18 sc + 17 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. NOTES: 1. Yarn quantities listed are sufficient to make all four potholders. 2. To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over.
