Dunham Massey
April 1917 to January 1919 Dunham Massey Hall was the Stamford Military Hospital. Offered to the Red Cross by the family who lived here, the hospital first opened with 25 beds rising to 52 by the time peace was declared on 11 November 1918. In total 282 soldiers were treated here.
