Allah’s name to begin with, the most generous, the most merciful.

PROOFS THAT PROPHET MOHAMMAD (SAV) IS LOOKING US AND WE CAN

THEREFORE SAY “SALLALLAHO ALAYKA YAA MOHAMMED”: From: Ismail Patel

(1) In Surah Al Ahzaab, verse -6(quran) it is written “ Annabiyyo awla

bilmu’menin min anfosehim wa azwazohu ummahatohum” meaning that the
Prophet (Mohammed-Pbuh) is nearer to mo’menin than their lives/souls and
his wives are mothers of mo’menin. So, the prophet is near to all believers till
qayamat(judgment day) in such a way that he is more nearer than believers’
souls. It must be noted that word “mo’min” is used. It means that he is near to
only true believers and not to all humans. So, the qafirs and munafiqs are
avoided from nearness. So, one can easily recognize the bad aqidah people who
say that prophet is not near and “Ya Rasulallah” cannot be said! True aqidah
people say “Ya Rasulallah” because they know that prophet is very near, near
than their souls and listen to them

(2) The prophet of Islam has been admired by holy quran in surah ahjaab ayat
45 and 46 saying him “O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE have
sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner” and “(The one who) Invites towards
HIM with the permission of Allâh and being a shining light (spreading light)” as Siraaj- um-
muniraa. ( Meaning very brightening sun ). Now see, if the sun of this world is
seen around half of the globe at a time, and that it will last till qayaamat- a day
of judgement, what may be the position of the sun of risaalat ( Siraj-um-
muniraa ) told by Allah. Undoubtedly our beloved prophet can be present
everywhere anytime he may wish. Also, our Prophet has been considered as a
witness too. So, witness is the person who has knowledge of the matter for
which he is witnessing, he is near to the matter and see the matter.

(3) Ayat of surah tauba in quran “ lakad jaakum rasulum min anfosekum ……
…Raufurrahim” tells that prophet has been sent towards us from mankind for
mankind and who gets woes when monenin(believers) are in trouble and he is
well wishers and rahim for the believers. The properties of Arrauof and
Arrahim have been assigned to him to help the momenin of all times and all
places till qayaamat-a day of judgement. This clearly states that the prophet is
alive and is helping to the believers of all times and at all corners of the earth.

(4) Ayat 169 of surah Aale Imran in Quran says “wa laa tahsabanna allazin
qotelu fi sabilillah……” meaning, “do not imagine the martyrs who are killed in
the way of Allah as dead, but they are alive and they are provided
provisions(rizk) by their lord” So, when the martyrs are alive, their leader
Prophet Moahammed (sav) must be alive. So, he is alive. The Alive can see, eat
food, walk, talk etc. Hence we can say “Yaa Rasulallah”

These are the clear verses of quran which give us the solid proofs that our
Prophet (sav) is near us and “yaa Mohammed (SAK)” can be said to make his
kind sight towards us.

PROOF FROM SALAAT (NAMAAZ):

In Attahiyaat, in any salaat we say “assalamo alayka ayyohannabiyyo” meaning
“Salaam to you O Prophet” clearly explains Nabi is in front of us in salaat.
PROOFS FROM OTHER AUTHENTIC BOOKS:

(1)In Book of Hadis- Sahih Bukhari Shareef, the incident is reported in Al Adab
Al Mufrad as this “Abu Naeemm reported to us said that Sufyan reported from
Abi Ishaq from Abdur-Rahman the son of Saad said: Once the son of Omar had
his foot numbed (Khadirat), a man said to him: mention the most beloved man
to you, the son of Omar said: Ya Muhammad: and that the numbness was
gone. And Imam Bukhari has mentioned this hadis under the title: “what to say
when a man’s leg is numb”. Now what to say about those mad persons who try
to misguide the Muslims by calling “Ya Mohammed” to be shirk. Hazarat Ibn
Omar (RA) used “Ya Mohammed” whem Prophet Mohammed (sav) had left this
world.

(2) It is noted in great book Ibn Kaseer in “Al Bidayah wan-Nihayah” that at the
time of Sayfal-llah Khalid Bin Al Waleed(RA) during the war against
Musaylamah Al Kathab, the poems of Khalid bin Al waleed used to say “Ya
Muhammadah” and that call has been accepted by a lot of the companions
then. So, Khalid said “Ya Muhammad” and also his army followed him and said
so for the barakah, knowing that his army was from Al Huffaz (The memorizers
of the Hadith of the Prophet) and from the scholars and from the Badriyyeen
(The ones who witnessed badr, they call them Badriyyeen).

(3) It is also recorded that the last word at the time of martyrdom of hazarat
Khubaib bin Ubay (RA) in Badr was “Ya Mohammed” according to witness of a
companion of War of Badra. This was reported by Al-Hafiz Abu Naeemm has
reported in “Al-Hulya” and Ibn Aj-Jawziyy in “Safwat As-Safwah” and
Muhammad Al-Murtada Az-Zabiydiyy in his book “It-haf As-Saddah Al
Muttaqeen”
