To talk to modems via a switch in 485 mode, select extended addressing and supply the address of the switch as the inter dev address. To talk to the switch in 232 mode, the address of the modem should be its position in the switch (1,2,3...). 1 1053-DRV-011 Rev. 1.1 08/26/09

Be sure to check the 422/232 switch on the RocketPort! Special Port Requirements None. Hardware Configuration Notes On the front panel's title screen, select the Previous option several times, until you see a Config option. Select Config (press on the button below the option), then M&C. (You may have to select More to M&C.) Select Remote, and change the baud rate to 9600. Select the Modify button with the down arrow ( ). Change the Remote Control setting to 485. Press the down arrow button again, and change the Remote Dat/Par to 7 / Odd. Press the down arrow again, and change the Protocol to Packet. Press the down arrow again, and change the packet address to the appropriate address in the bus.
Protocol / Firmware Notes Supported firmware versions: 3.3, 4.7, 4.9, 5.3, 5.5 One firmware version does not identify its version. The menus in this version are completely different than those mentioned above. The FU_CARD,DB_CARD,RS_CARD... are used to activate / inactivate tabs on the screen depending on what hardware is installed. 14 1053-DRV-011 Rev. 1.1 08/26/09
This driver does not support a configuration where more than one of the same type of card is installed into the modem. An example of this is a dual RX only or dual TX only system.
