Windows Server 2003 reboots after installing .NET 4.0 full version at beginning of

installation.

Description

CyberStation and web.Client v1.94 SP1 require the full version of .NET 4.0 Framework to be installed. This is done during the Continuum pre-requisite portion of the install. If the installation is done on a Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP pc then the computer will automatically reboot after the .net framework is installed. The user is required to restart the CyberStation or web.Client installation (run setup.exe). The service pack install will resume where it left off.

Note: the installation will detect if .NET 4.0 Framework is already installed and skip that portion of the setup.

2.03 Uninstall requesting Symantec applications be closed.

Description

In some circumstances it may be necessary to uninstall Continuum if a problem occurred during the initial installation. If the computer has Symantec Anti-Virus installed then Continuum will require a reboot at the end of the uninstall. A message box will appear giving the user the option of automatically closing Symantec applications or leaving them running. In many cases IT administrators prevent users from stopping or disabling anti-virus protection.

It is recommended that you select the second option “Do not close applications” and manually reboot the computer after Continuum has been installed.
