How the books ARE chosen: Over one hundred professionals from school and public libraries across the province read hundreds of books to arrive at the nominations that are published in this brochure. Books must be written by a Canadian citizen or resident and be commercially available in Canada and published recently. Titles are chosen to appeal to a range of interests and reading abilities. Who runs the programs: Public libraries, school libraries, literacy centres, and families. Individuals are also welcome to register.
