Retail is one of the areas where development has been vividly observed. The state has a vast potential and prospect for business. The study has tried to determine the factors influencing consumers purchase intentions towards products and stores and retailers challenges in establishing organised retail stores. The significant variables influencing the purchase intention and store selection have been analysed and the main issues related to retailers challenges in establishing organised retail stores have been discussed. ********************************************************
