1 General
Since 16.3 OrCAD Layout is not part of the installation CD. All users which have a valid 16.3 license can use OrCAD Layout from 16.2. You need a 16.2 installation DVD. If you dont have one, please contact info@flowcad.de and order it. 16.2 will install some additional tools.like Capture 16.2. Please ignore them.

Please check your HOME variable before you start the installation. Go to Start -> Einstellungen -> Systemsteureung -> System -> Erweitert -> Umgebungsvariablen. Note the Value for the variable HOME. This is your working directory. You will use it during the installation.

2 Installation
Insert the DVD. The installation assistant starts automatically. If not, double click on the setup.exe file on the DVD.

Select Product/Demo Installation.

Accept the license agreements and click Next.

Click OK.

Click Next.

Enter the installation folder and click Next.

Expand the product list and select OrCAD Layout only. Click Next.

Change the working directory to your current working directory you note before starting the installation.

Define a Program Folder if you want and click Next.

Click Next. The installation starts.

Click Next.

Click Finish. The installation assistant sets up the environment. This can take some time.

Click Nein or No.

Click Finish. Close the installation assistant.

Go to Start -> Programme -> Cadence Switch Release.

After installation, the system variables are set to OrCAD 16.2. Select the version you want to work with and click OK.

Switch Release sets all necessary system variables. Click Close.
