Our Stories

“The world is my Story”

Ontology is the field of philosophy which tries to answer one simple ques-
tion, “What is there?”

My symbolic thought experiments, in that ill defined boundary between my

thoughts and what there is, leads me to the inexorable, for me quite incorri-
gible, conclusion that there is experience, the essence of which is the stories we
tell, the accounts we give, our stories.

T ime, the symbolic flow of our consciousness, is the inner scaffolding of

the story that each one of us narrates, the whole of who we are and
who we will be, our dreams. And Space is the weave of all on-going stories
of the world … we are the weaved and weavers, both.

A n Art Work, even a static one, is a history, is a totality encompassing

its creation (out of Chaos), its ripening (aging) and its dissolution
(back to the chaos from whence it came). Viewed in this way any work of
art becomes a story a narrative, a history.

I am the story that I tell; I am part of that collaborative work of dream art
called the World or, sometimes when we want to sound down-to-earth,
Reality; I am narrator and narration inseparably, a story be told, performed,
dreamed and made real; I am the consciousness narrator and the dreamer
of a future narrative; I am me (and you).

A nd God? Well, His voice comes to us through our story, through the
story of our neighbor, through the story of the guy across town …
and we will never understand our story, our personal message from God,
until we have heard the stories of all, listening to them through God’s Ears,
listening because the story they tell is also our story.

 Our Stories

O ur true purpose in life is to live the best story possible, not only for
ourselves, but for others. Wake up, look around and ask yourself is
the nightmare you find yourself surveying, the story you wanted, the best
story for all, or is it time to Dream another story, a better story together?

G od reached out to us, through Christ, by becoming part of our collect-

ive story. Through Christ he showed us how to live a better story and
now He waits for us to find that part of us that is of Christ so that we may
all Dream a better World, a better story.
