Discovered that mutations in the VHL gene refined histological diagnostic criteria in renal cell carcinoma serving as adjuncts to the current morphology based diagnosis . Published first author paper entitled" Significance of p53 mutations in CLL- A sequential study of 30 patients.

Discovered mutations in exon 7 of the p53 gene occurred in patients with clinically aggressive B- cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
