New Meeting Place for RWAP, or Is It?

If you have only been around Riders With A Purpose for a couple of years, you might have thought that we always met at the Wakefield Ambulance building. But if you were here at the beginning, then you would know that back then, we met at the Valley View Restaurant. When they closed, we were blessed that the Ambulance Company was willing to take us in. We are so grateful for their help during our formative years. Recently, the old Valley View building was purchased and reopened. It is now called RDs American Grill, and the new owners, the Tipton family, have welcomed us to once again meet at the restaurant. This change was approved by our members at the July meeting, so--Breakfast will be at 8:00, from the menu and our meetings will begin promptly at 9:00, beginning in August. Meeting at the Ambulance Building was great, but this change will let us be more visible to the public, said RWAP president, John Zook. Christ calls us to get out there and this will let us do that, agreed vice president, John Freeman. Spread the word-Riders With A Purpose now meets the third Saturday of every month at RDs American Grill, route 272, just south of the Buck!

Run For The Son Ride

Celebrate Recovery
Riders With A Purpose have been asked to serve meals to participants in the Celebrating Recovery program. The group meets at Wesley United Methodist Church, just outside of Quarryville. RWAP has been asked to serve on the third Friday of each month, beginning in September. If you can fit it into your schedule, consider this worthwhile servant event. As Christ reminds us, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. ~Matthew 25:40

National Rally
Back in June, our own

intrepid riders: Karen & Bud S tillman and John Zook, along with Hap Miller of Glory Road Riders and Tom Ebersole of Spiritual Warriors of Reading made the long ride to Fryeberg ME for the CMA National East Rally. It was a great event, said Bud. There were some awesome rides, incredible scenery, and fantastic fellowship.

Saturday, May 4
Some familiar faces at the National East Rally Linda and Rich Ingram join Karen Stillman at one of the sessions.

Karen and Bud Stillman enjoyed a ride up Mt. Washington as part of their National Rally experience this summer! Oh, and yes, they did get to ride back down again! The smell of burning brakes filled the air, noted Bud.

John experiences his first ever lobster dinner while in Maine for the rally. Itll probably be my last he was heard to say. Though he did not care particularly for the lobster, he really liked the bib!
