We want to share with you the progress of our work with the children in the month of September.

The Exchange box as part of our strategy to encourage children, we borrowed the idea from OANSA (AWANA) of an Exchange box. On every G&L Club meeting the kids receive cards with points on them for: punctuality 150 points, bringing the manual 150 points, bringing a friend 300 points, reciting bible verses 500 points, 4 club attendances in month 300 points, attending church 4 Sundays in a month 500 points. They can then exchange these cards for candies.

As a result of the Exchange box: the kids arrive on time, always bring their manuals, learn 1 new verse every week, and they bring guests and come to church.

With the beginning of the school year the group has become a little smaller. The kids have more homework and responsibilities. For that reason we decided to run the club schedule 2 hours later, (originally 4-6pm, now 6-8pm). Now the kids have more time to finish their homework and still make it to the club meeting. Currently we have an excited 12 children group coming every Thursday, and they all attend church regularly.

At the end of the august, namely, the first Thursday of September, we had a little celebration at the end of the meeting to celebrate the birthdays of all the boys and girls born in August.

The Greatest Journey Dicipleship Program Graduation

The boys and girls from the Sunday school participated in the discipleship program The Greatest Journey, after finishing the 12 lesson course they received their certificates and a New Testament bible in a little ceremony at the end of the service on Sunday, September 22

Wednesday, September 25 was the first G&L meeting in the sector of El Golfito, we had 12 children from the community attend the meeting. We have already had 2 meetings. We have also started a service for the club kids on Sundays in the afternoon. For this particular group we bought 2 tables and 20 stools.

Worldwide Day for the Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy
I was invited as a representative of Fundacin Enmanuel Edificando Una Mejor Venezuela to give a lecture to the teenagers who go to the Central Urgent Care Clinic Nueva Cabimas. The topic was Why Wait To Have Sex? We talked about the physical, emotional, social and spiritual consequences of teenage pregnancy. After this lecture the director of the Urgent Care Clinic requested that we visit the high school which is right next door to the clinic to give lectures to teenagers about the consequences of pregnancy at that age. The majority of the pregnant teenagers who are treated in the clinic are students from this high school. Venezuela is the country with the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Latin-America and the Caribbean. The numbers keep increasing every year. Venezuela is the country with youngest pregnant girls in Latin-America and the Caribbean. We have 10 years old pregnant girls.

LETS PRAY FOR: For the kids who have attention problems in class and bad behavior at
school and in their homes, for God to help them focus their energy in a positive way and be efficient at their studies. For the boys and girls who are graduated to the next grade in elementary school without knowing how to read or write well. For the kids homes, to be reached by the gospel through them. For the economic needs of their families, that God provide for them everything they need. perfect and unconditional love, so they can feel loved and special. That more kids keep coming to the G&L club every week and they can receive Jesus as their saver and never walk out on him. For the boys and girls who have had messy sexual experiences or have been abused, that God help them and release them from evil. For the pornography addicts, that God restore in them the purity of their hearts and release them from every sexual sin. For the kids who are rejected or disregarded by their families and the society, for them to find in God
