DIOCESAN ASSEMBLY 2013: His Grace Bishop Michael will convene the Diocesan Assembly on Tuesday November 12th. Our parish delegates will be the Very Reverend Archpriest John Prokopiuk our rector and our lay delegate Matushka Ludmila duly elected by our parish council. Every year a diocesan assembly is held to discuss the yearly budget and other issues that may affect our Diocese. May God Grant Them Many Blessed Years for representing our parish at this

assembly of churches in our diocese of NY/NJ in Yonkers, New York. PARISH DUES REMINDER: Parish dues for 2013 are due before the end of the year. In order to be fully recognized as a parish member it is important to fulfill this obligation. Cost per adult is $145. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to make this payment.
THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON: After the Divine Liturgy on Sunday November 24th please join us in the parish home for our annual Thanksgiving luncheon. Please make an effort to be with us as we give thanks for Gods blessings. NATIVITY FAST: On Thursday November 28th we Orthodox Christians begin a fast in preparation for the Feast of the Nativity that is celebrated on January 7th. Please make an effort to begin this fast in earnest and so that we can prepare for this joyous feast. SPECIAL THANKS: The parish family of Saint Marys thanks those who have made donations to

For example: There are some beautiful pictures that were taken on Bishop Michaels visit on September 20th 22nd. These pictures also include a wonderful article written by Father Samuel Kedala our dean who spoke very highly about how our parish is very hospitable and welcoming to all who attended. Please take a moment out of your busy day and check out this article www.nynjoca.org. HARVEST TIME: What have you done lately to increase our attendance at the Sunday Divine Liturgy? Have you offered a ride to a shut in? Have you encouraged a family member to come back to church? Have you been welcoming to a new face that enters our church on Sunday? Please make an effort to encourage family

members to come to church and participate in the beautiful Sunday Divine Liturgy. We need your help to Harvest back those who have gone astray! PIEROGI FOR SALE: We will have a pierogi sale for the Christmas season. If you are able to secure orders for our sale it would greatly be appreciated. All orders for this sale must be turned in to the candle desk by Sunday December 1st. Pierogi will be made in our parish home on Saturday December 7th. No orders will be accepted after December 1st. Cost is $7.00 per dozen. Potato / Cheese, Sauerkraut, and Prune will be for sale. Pick up orders will be Sunday, December 8th. Please Help!!!!! Order forms are available at the candle desk.
