Worship:

The

Highest

Form

of

Prayer!

Posted by admin - 30/06/11 10:59PM - 30 Comments - After this manner therefore pray yeHallowed be thy name (Matthew 6:9). Until you understand worship, you dont know how to pray. To hallow His name goes beyond singing, it connotes regard; giving Him due honour, reverence, and having faith in His name. Worship is not just what you do, it is the way you live. It is not an action but an attitude that may produce an action.

Worship must be from the depth of your soul. You must be moved by the person and the acts of God, to the point of shedding tears before Him. This is not to generate emotions, it is reality. One of the traits of great men in the Faith is brokenness before God; always wondering, Why me Lord? People call them great men but they regard themselves as weak before the Lord.

To be a true worshipper, you must be a man of deep and sober reflections; broken before God. That is what endears you to him. A contrite heart thou will not despise o Lord (Psalms 51:17).

In the act of worship, develop the attitude of raising your hands before the Lord, it is a mark of surrendered-ness, involving your spirit, emotions and body (Psalms 134:1-2, 1 Timothy 2:8). You know what worship does for you? It strengthens your cord of relationship with God and guarantees you a place of priority in His heart because while men pursue God in prayers, God pursues worshippers (John 4:23). When you are a worshipper of God, you will escape the trap of pride because worship imbibes into you the nature of humility. It destroys your sense of achievement and helps you to see your

littleness against the awesomeness of God (Isaiah 6:5, Revelations 1:17). So, the higher you go in life, the more a worshipper you must become, because the higher you go the more tendency you have for pride.

Mans greatest problem is self but in worship, self is destroyed because you are overwhelmed with His presence. In worship you gain access into the Holy of Holies; into Gods presence where you have access to His voice and receive a definite word on major issues of your life (Acts 13:2). Let us do more of worship than intercessions because prayer moves the hand of God but worship touches the heart of God.

Understanding

God's

Mercy!

Posted by admin - 01/07/11 10:36PM - 21 Comments - O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever - Ps 136:1 The understanding of Gods mercy is one of the greatest revelations of life. Until you understand His mercy you dont truly know the person of God. When Moses said, Show me your glory, God took him up to a mountain and passed by him proclaiming, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth (Ex 34:6).

The perspective of merit is what disqualifies many believers from Gods blessings. We must understand that we are not kept by merit, we do not succeed by merit, we are not outstanding by merit, we are simply blessed by His mercy. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning (Lam 3:22-23). Until you drop your perspective of merit, you cannot enjoy the mystery of His mercy. Stop boasting of your merit, start celebrating His mercy. Those who celebrate His mercy dont miss His acts, they dont miss His miracles because His mercy is revealed in His acts.

You know why we must keep celebrating Gods mercy? If we were to be judged according to our works, many of us would score minus one million, because often times our errors far outweigh our good, but His mercy covers us. Even when we make mistakes, He still marks us right. We have failed several times but His mercy has prevailed. When we are caught in our weaknesses, His mercy keeps strengthening us. For His names sake He keeps blessing us.

Imagine a student who wrote an exam and it was obvious that he scored ten percent, but the teacher had mercy and gave him ninety. And then the student went out and started boasting to the hearing of the teacher. Without notice, the teacher will quietly change the mark to ten again and give it to him according to his boasting. We cant boast because if God judges us according to our merit, we would be nowhere. We are simply beneficiaries of His mercy, so lets keep celebrating it.

I noticed in scriptures that one cry Jesus never turned down was the cry for mercy. Everyone that called for His mercy secured His attention. So, when we celebrate His mercy we are simply registering for His attention. Let your soul be filled today with the thoughts of His mercy. You are where you are today by His mercy, not because you are a prayer warrior. As you keep celebrating His mercy, you will never lack His acts.

Divine

Guidance:

Your

Access

To

Distinction!

Posted by admin - 03/07/11 04:00AM - 18 Comments - Text: Genesis 26:1-14 Nothing can take the place of divine guidance in the life of a Christian. If you chose to operate as the people of the world, you will fail as they fail. You must acknowledge the fact that you are limited, only God knows the end from the beginning.

When there was a famine in the days of Isaac he went down to Gerar, a Philistine city, perhaps on his way to Egypt. But the Lord appeared to him and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee (Genesis 26:2-3). So, your blessing is determined by Gods presence, not by your location. When Gods presence is with you, even in the driest land where everybody else is closing down and selling off their businesses, you will be blessed.

In Genesis 46:3 God said to Jacob, Fear not to go down to Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation. But in the case of Isaac, He commanded Him not to go to Egypt. Both are His servants but His agenda for each of them was different. Never use somebody elses direction as a yardstick for yours. God knows His plan for you and how to bring it to pass, so look unto Him alone for direction.

Where God leads is where your flourishing is guaranteed. He said to Isaac, I will be with you and bless you (Gen 26:3). And in spite of the strivings and envying of the Philistines, Isaac prospered in the land because the Lord guided him. Perhaps the Lord has spoken to you to go somewhere for a particular assignment but to you it doesnt look lucrative. So, you have decided to remain in the place of your choice and as a result, things are not working. May you receive the courage required to follow Gods leading for your life. Gods leading is never popular or attractive but those who are smart enough will follow it.

As Isaac sojourned in the land that God instructed him to stay, the Bible says, The man went forward, and grew until he became very great. For he had possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him (Gen. 26:13-14). You dont need to do too many things to succeed in life, you only need to be directed. Be sensitive, open up to receive Gods leading for you today and you shall be established in your place of blessing!

Safeguard

Your

Destiny

With

Divine

Direction!

Posted by admin - 04/07/11 05:42AM - 11 Comments - Money is not a guarantee for success. If you don't know how to connect heaven for divine direction, the moment money touches your hand it will become your god; you will enter into all kinds of investments that will never yield profit or buy things that may become a burden to your life. Romans 8:14 says, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Not as many as are led by money!

Don't let money decide the steps you take in life! Don't trust in money, rather trust in God for the fulfillment of your destiny. Money does not make a destiny, no! It is divine direction that does. In the midst of severe famine, which can be likened to the economic crunch in many parts of the world today, Isaac became so wealthy that the Philistines envied him, simply because he was divinely directed (Genesis 26).

There was a time in the ministry of Jesus when food was needed to feed 5,000 people in a desert place, and the Bible says, "...He Himself knew what he would do." Not that he had some heavy bank account somewhere or some great store of food, He knew what He would do. He was divinely directed and as He took steps in line with that leading, the little bread that was available began to multiply (John 6:6). So it is not money you need to have your needs met or to fulfill your destiny, you only need to know what God wants you to do. You need divine direction! Some other day, tax collectors came to Jesus, thinking they could embarrass Him. They demanded for tax, but He said to Peter, "Get down to the sea and cast an hook, the first fish you catch has the money in it's mouth, bring it and pay the tax for me and for you" (Matt. 17:27 paraphrased). When you are divinely directed you don't do guess work.

Stop looking for money, start seeking for divine direction and you will not lack money! You hear people say, 'If I can just get some money, I will be okay.' Why don't you change that statement to, 'If God would direct me and show me what to do in this situation, I know I am through.' Turn your prayer for money into prayer for divine direction.

When Jesus needed to ride on a colt and all He did was to direct His disciples to where the colt

was waiting. He told them, "...Loose him, and bring him" (Mark 11:2). And when they got there they found it just as He had told them. Oh that people would make confessions for direction the way they are praying and making confessions for money. I pray that people would begin to say, "Lord, I believe that as I go today you will order my steps." Rather than saying, "Money will pursue me today." The truth is, even when you have money, you still need divine direction as to how, when and where to invest otherwise you will lose the money. So, trust not in money. The Bible warns us in Psalms 62:10, "...If riches increase, set not your heart upon them." There is no safety in money, safety is of the Lord. Proverbs 23:4-5 says, "Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom...for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven." Money can be there today and gone tomorrow but God is constant. If you should not labour to be rich, what then must you labour for? Labour to obtain divine direction. That is the route to lasting, stress-free riches. I see all your struggles coming to an end! Meditate on these: Prov. 21:31, Isaiah 48:17

Seek

The

Lord!

Posted by admin - 04/07/11 12:39PM - 25 Comments - Text: Proverbs 3:5-7 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths- Proverbs 3:6 No matter how much you have grown in the faith, you can never out grow divine direction. In all your ways not on some occasions but in all your undertakings, no matter how small, acknowledge Him. That means, admit your limitations and recognize the infallibility of the Shepherd.

After David was crowned king in Israel, the Philistines came out against him. The Bible says,And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand. And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there (2

Samuel 5:19-20). But shortly after that, the Philistines regrouped and came back again. David could have assumed, I will go out against them like before. But he enquired of the Lord again and God said to him, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees (2 Samuel 5:23). David was faced with the same challenge twice and on each occasion God gave him a different guidance because he enquired. God is never weary of our enquires for guidance.

In your business or career, seek Gods guidance everyday because each day comes with new challenges. You require new approach, you need current instructions that will put you permanently on top. Never assume that every battle or challenge of your life will require the same approach, seek direction and you will never lose out to the devil.

In all your ways, acknowledge Him.Never have a substitute to God, trust Him to guide you.

Talking of king Uzziah, the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 26:5, As long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper. How long you seek God determines how long you will prosper. To prosper means to be successful in all your endeavours. As long as Uzziah sought the Lord, he prospered. Do you want to prosper everyday of your life? Then seek the Lord every day. People who seek God everyday, triumph everyday. Go and triumph today!

The

Need

For

Daily

Guidance!

Posted by admin - 05/07/11 05:33PM - 35 Comments - Text: Genesis 21:14-20 There is the story of a woman in the Bible that very well illustrates our dire need for divine guidance (Genesis 21:14-20). She is Hagar, Sarahs maid who had a son for Abraham. When Abraham was to send away Hagar and her son Ishmael, the best he did for her was to give her

a piece of bread and a bottle of water. With the child, Hagar wandered in the wilderness till the bread and the water was used up. And then she cast the child under the shrubs and began to weep. There isnt much that man can offer you. Man is limited, only God is inexhaustible.

The reason many people wander through life is because they lack direction; they dont know the next step to take. And every wanderer will always have his resources used up till he becomes stranded. You may have done your best, maybe you put all your resources in a venture that looked so promising but it did not work. Now, turn to God for direction.

God had spoken concerning Ishmael that He would make him a nation. But when the water in her bottle was used up, Hagar cast the child away; she cast off a potential nation! Some people are sitting in failure today, not because they lack the potentials to succeed but because their potentials lack direction. Some have even cast off their potentials due to confusion. Potential without direction will be aborted.

No matter how wonderful or attractive your vision is, until you receive proper direction, you will keep wandering and wasting. Hagar sat away from the child and wept but that did not change the situation. When God heard the voice of the child, the angel of the Lord said to her, Arise, lift up the lad,and hold him in thine hand (Gen. 21:18). Perhaps there was something in your hand that you threw away; a career, a talent, something that God told you He would do through you, take it up again! Dont give it up! Simply seek divine direction.

Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water(Gen21:19). Amazingly, the well of water was there all the while that Hagar was crying. What you are crying for may be right beside you, you may not even need to look far to encounter the breakthrough that you desire. All you need is for God to open your eyes to see what He is showing you.

Remember that divine guidance is a daily affair. No matter how insignificant the issue may seem, ask God for direction because little decisions lead to great decisions and minor steps to major ones. I see your wandering in life terminated today, in Jesus name!

The

Blessedness

of

Divine

Guidance!

Posted by admin - 06/07/11 01:13PM - 41 Comments - Psalm 23 paints a graphic illustration of divine guidance, talking about the Shepherd and His sheep. Verse 1 says, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. A shepherd, among other things directs and protects the sheep. Id like you to know that God is not careless about you, He has not left you to a life of chances or trial and error. Only a bad shepherd leaves his sheep to wander about aimlessly and be exposed to all manner of dangers. But God says, I am the LORD thy God whichleadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. So, if you lack guidance it is not the fault of the Shepherd, you only need to align yourself to be guided by Him. Look at some of the benefits you enjoy when you are guided.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. When you are guided by God you overcome scarcity, lack and want because His resources are inexhaustible. Wherever the Shepherd is, there is always abundance.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures(Ps. 23:2). Pastures here represent tenderness. When you are guided, you enjoy Gods tenderness and comfort. He helps you to absorb the shocks of life. Also you enjoy quietness and ease of life, for He leads me beside the still waters. So, when things become too hard and turbulent, it may be as a result of not being guided.

He restoreth my soul(Vs. 3). When God leads He doesnt lead to loses but to restoration, He restores what the devil has stolen from you. He leads me in the paths of righteousness God

will always lead you to the right path for success and liftings. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil (Vs 4). When you are guided, fear of every kind is destroyed because you are confident that God is ever with you. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies (Vs. 6). As long as you follow the Shepherd no evil force can harm you. In the presence of your enemies He will still bless you.

To enjoy divine guidance on a daily basis all you need to do is open up your heart to God in prayers, right there where you are, He will tell you what next step to take in life. And as you humbly submit yourself to His guidance, surely goodness and mercy shall follow you!

Positioning

Yourself

For

Divine

Guidance!

Posted by admin - 07/07/11 11:52AM - 27 Comments - Science teaches us that the moon has no light of its own, it is simply positioned in an angle to the sun so that while the sun generates the heat, the moon reflects the light. God wants you to have light without heat. He has chosen to generate the heat, so all you need to do is correctly position yourself in order to reflect His light and His glory. Habakkuk said, I will stand upon my watch and I will watch to see what He will say unto me And the Lord answered him and said, Write the vision (Hab.2:1-2). The way you position yourself determines how God responds to you. God will never adjust to you, rather you have to align yourself to Him. If you must enjoy His leading, then you must be prepared to assume the right posture.

The practice of quietness is one of the ways to correctly position yourself for divine guidance. Only the quiet can connect with heaven. You cannot continue to live a rowdy life and expect to hear from God. In broadcasting for instance, to receive the transmission from the station, you must tune your set to the right frequency in order to shut out all the interferences in the air. God keeps speaking but many cannot hear Him because their spirits are not tuned to His frequency. You must overcome every form of interferences around you in order to hear from God.

Isaiah 30:15 says,.In Quietness and Confidence shall be your strength. The practice of quietness is the way to keep in touch with life. It links your heart with heaven for direction. Many businesses are collapsing today because the men that are involved have lost touch with life. If a man whose business is crawling would stay before the Lord in quietness for just one week-end rather than running around, submitting papers, quotations, and CVs that no body reads, God would show him something that will change his life and business eternally.

Quietness is not a gift, it is a virtue that must be developed, it is an environment that must be created. The Bible says, Study to be quiet (1Thess. 4:11). That means practice quietness, create an environment of quietness around you. God is eager to speak to you but He is waiting for you to tune in to His frequency. Isaiah 50:4 says, He wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. Morning time is Gods time, and you know, everyday counts in your destiny. So learn to have moments of quietness each day, rise up early and stay before the Lord with songs of worship. That is the way to receive direction and strength for advancement each day. This is your day! You will not miss your steps, in Jesus name!

The

Need

For

Seperation!

Posted by admin - 08/07/11 10:46AM - 2 Comments - The practice of quietness is vital for divine guidance because often times God speaks in a still small voice. In 1Kings 19:11-13, Elijah sought to hear from the Lord and according to scriptures, there was first of all a strong wind that brake the rocks in pieces but God was not in the wind. Then there was an earthquake followed by fire but God was not in any of them. After the fire there was a still small voice and then the Lord spoke to Elijah. How did it happen? Elijah separated himself.

If you must become outstanding through divine guidance you must be separated. In Deuteronomy 5:30-31 God told Moses to send the people to their tents. But to Moses He said, As for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandmentswhich thou shalt teach them To become outstanding among men, you must stand with God. You cant be all available in the public and expect to make a mark in the public. It is time for you to separate yourself in quietness, in solitary moments before the Lord. You must first of all be with God before you can be revealed to your world. Jesus was only revealed to His world after His forty days separation in the wilderness. When He returned in the power of the Spirit, all eyes were set on Him and His fame went throughout all the region (Luke 4:14).

To separate yourself, you must take advantage of the night seasons and early hours of the day because that is Gods radio hour. "Day unto day speaketh, night unto night showeth knowledge"(Psalms 19:2).It is what God shows to you in the night that makes you a show in the day (Dan 2:19). A man who sleeps all night can never make a mark in life. Every day is arrested in the night, so you cant have a good day until you succeed at managing the night well night. David said, My reins also instruct me in the night season (Psalm 16:7).

When Jericho was to be taken over, the Bible tells us that Joshua and the people woke up early in the morning to compass the city round about. Before the citizens of Jericho woke up, they had compassed the city. You must cultivate the habit of rising early to compass your obstacles before the devil wakes up.

Do you know that sleep is of the mind? Until your mind goes to sleep your body cannot sleep. And every sleepy mind will always result into slippery hands. When a man is dozing whatever is in his hand drops. The reason many great things are slipping off your hand is because you are sleepy. I urge you therefore to position yourself before the Lord for divine guidance as you particularly utilize the night seasons and early hours of the day.

Receive the miracle of divine guidance today, in the name of Jesus!
