WHEN Registration Day: January Semester On / before 10 January 2009

ACTIVITIES Registration Form: Student Register Project Work (6 credit hours). Students will be given: Guide to Writing Masters Project Paper (Refer in the myLMS). Students are advised to: Find potential supervisor. Look up for some materials in the digital library so that they will have some ideas on what they want to do. Select title of research. Download and fill in: The Nomination of Project Paper Supervisor form for Masters Programme from the myLMS. (Form CGS12) Meet their potential supervisors: - to agree on the research title. - to sign up as supervisor. Get approval from the relevant Programme Coordinator. (in cases where the chosen supervisor (please refer to remarks) is not from OUM/local public universities/organizations approved by OUM)

REMARKS Project Paper 1 must be registered one semester before the final semester. That is, if their final semester is in Semester 6, then, they must register the Project Paper 1 in Semester 5.

The supervisor of the project paper/case study must be the course facilitator or a member of the faculty where the student is registered. The Supervisor may also be chosen from any department on OUM or academic staff from local public universities or other organizations approved by OUM. Qualified person(s) aside from the above category may be nominated as supervisors, but their Curriculum Vitae must be forwarded together with the nomination form Each supervisor must fill in and signed the Nomination Form to be appointed as supervisor to the students project. ACTIVITIES Submit the Nomination Form to CGS Office (attention: Shimatul Aida or email: shimatul@oum.edu.my or fax 03-2697 8848 ) Students are advised to: Make their own arrangement on the meeting times and venue. Make sure that they meet their supervisor at least 5 times in each semester to discuss on the project.

REMARKS Student should nominate only one supervisor. There is no need to have a Supervisory Committee. Follow up with a reminder to students in the myLMS announcement.

The Supervisor must submit marks and grade (ranging from A to F) to the Centre for Graduate Studies.

In evaluating the Project Paper, supervisors must follow the Grading System used by Centre for Graduate Studies, OUM as stipulated in the Guide to Graduate Studies Handbook.
