An automotive electrical diagram is a schematic drawing that shows how the electrical devices in an automobile are connected to the automotive electrical system. It shows the path that an electrical current would take when powering on a device in the car. The Automobile Electrical System The automobile electrical system is made up of various devices that serve several functions. The battery is the primary power storage medium and is connected directly or indirectly to all components requiring power in the automobile electrical circuit. The headlamps, parking lamps, stop and turn signals and indicator lights are all connected to the electrical system by means of switches, which are in turn connected to the battery. No matter what the function, each electrical device is listed on the automotive electrical diagram. Symbols Used in an Electrical Diagram Each device connected to the electrical system has a symbol associated with the component. For older vehicles, the symbol on the automotive electrical diagram is drawn to resemble the physical shape and relative size of the electrical component that the symbol is representing. For example, a symbol for a headlamp is drawn to look like a headlamp that can be found at an auto parts store. However, for newer vehicles, the symbols used are ANSI-standard electrical graphic symbols. (ANSI is the American National Standards Institute.)

Power Distribution At a minimum, each device is connected to one positive terminal and one negative terminal coming from a power-generating or power-storage device. Each electrical connection is shown as a line from the device to its power source. In the case of a complex device, such as an alternator, generator, or distributor, several lines/electrical connections may be shown. This is because either the device is used as a power source or because it is a power distribution point to several other devices. Electrical Connections to Ground An automotive electrical diagram may appear to have several devices that are connected to something that looks like a triangle. These devices also appear to have no "negative terminal" connection, such as to the negative terminal on a battery. The triangle signifies that the device is connected to an electrical "ground." An electrical ground serves as the reference point of "zero volts" in an electrical circuit utilizing an electrical ground. Therefore, the power will flow from the positive connection, through the device, and will go to the electrical ground as the negative electrical connection. 1. What is an automotive wiring diagram? 2. What is the primary power storage medium in the electrical system? 3. What does the ANSI do? 4. How are the electrical connections shown? 5. What does the triangle mean when it appears connected to any device?

1. the wiring diagram of a vehicle is used to locate the various elements such as lights, stops, window cleaner, and other objects in the vehicle, also serves as a reference point if we want to mod the car. 2. the primary power storage in the car is a battery 3. the ansi american national standars institute are norms that were made to identify different elements or letters in the white and brown electric home device, vehicles, computers, is similar to iso standards, but the ansi is nonprofit. 4. The electrical connetion show in colors, slots, molex cable or bus data-transfer cable 5. Can be 3 thinks. Ohm law, triphase cable or a/c altern current motors

1. Read the following explanation about the simple present tense Simple Present Tense How do we make the Simple Present Tense? subject + auxiliary verb Do + main verb base

There are three important exceptions: For positive sentences, we do not normally use the auxiliary. For the 3rd person singular (he, she, it), we add s to the main verb or es to the auxiliary. For the verb to be, we do not use an auxiliary, even for questions and negatives.

Look at these examples with the main verb like:

Subject I, you, we, they

auxiliary verb i we do does I, you, we, they he, she, it do do not not

main verb like coffee.

He, she, it

likes

coffee.

I, you, we, they He, she, it Do Does

like like like like

coffee. coffee. coffee? coffee?

How do we use the Simple Present Tense? We use the simple present tense when: The action is generalthe action happens all the time, or habitually, in the past, present and future. The action is not only happening now, the statement is always true. Look at these examples: The battery generates electricity through Chemicals reactions A bulb doesnt emit light and generates heat when current flows through the filament Does the fuse melt when current flow exceeds that specified for circuit? The horn generates sound when current flows Does the heater generate heat when current flows? The pump does not produce electromagnetic force

Task 3 1) Read the following article: Vocabulary management techniques When learning vocabulary, it is important to organize and file all the new words that you want to remember. Here you can find some suggestions on how to do so. Vocabulary notebooks A lot of students like to have a special notebook to notate the vocabulary. There are 2 ways to organize it: In topics or in alphabetical order. Write some words at the beginning and then add others as you learn more.

H Hand Honey hairdresser

JOBS Technitian Police officer secretary

Vocabulary cards Another way to organize the vocabulary is to write every new word in a card and put it together with other similar cards. On one side of the card write the term, its pronunciation and a picture (if possible). On the other side write an example including that word and any extra information you could get about it. This will help you memorize the new vocabulary easily.

- cable, is most often two or more wires running side by side and bonded, twisted, or braided together to form a single assembly, but can also refer to a heavy strong rope. In mechanics, cables, otherwise known as wire ropes, are used for lifting, hauling, and towing or conveying force through tension. In electrical engineering cables are used to carry electric currents. An optical cable contains one or more optical fibers in a protective jacket that supports the fibers. - Electrical, in general refers to insulated conductors used to carry electricity, and associated devices. This article describes general aspects of electrical wiring as used to provide power in buildings and structures, commonly referred to as building wiring - ground, In electrical engineering, ground or earth can refer to the reference point in an electrical circuit from which voltages are measured, a common return path for electric current, or a direct physical connection to the Earth. Black, is the color of coal, ebony, and of outer space. It is the darkest color, the result of the absence of or complete absorption of light. It is the opposite of white and often represents darkness in contrast with light.

- Voltage, electrical potential difference, electric tension or electric pressure is the electric potential difference between two points, or the difference in electric potential energy of a unit charge transported between two points. - wire, is a single, usually cylindrical, flexible strand or rod of metal. Wires are used to bear mechanical loads and to carry electricity and telecommunications signals. Wire is commonly formed by drawing the metal through a hole in a die or draw plate. Standard sizes are determined by various wire gauges. - headlamp, is a lamp attached to the front of a vehicle to light the road ahead. Headlamp performance has steadily improved throughout the automobile age, spurred by the great disparity between daytime and nighttime traffic fatalities: the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states that nearly half of all traffic-related fatalities occur in the dark, despite only 25% of traffic travelling during darkness - White, is the color of fresh milk and snow. It is the color produced by the reflection, transmission or emission of all wavelengths of visible light, without absorption
