Daily Plan of Activities Date: November 19, 2012 Area of Exposure: General Surgery Ward- Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional HospitalBacolod City Day: 2 General Objective: After 4 days of exposure, the Practicing Clinical Instructor will be able to: 1. State towards the student nurses the responsibilities and tasks as a ward nurse in General surgery as well the proper decorum during duties in the area. 2. Supervise student nurses in implementation of procedures towards their assigned patients utilizing the nursing process as means of delivering an individualized care to their assigned patients. 3. Demonstrate a positive behavior as to the learning needs of the student nurses. Time 5:30AM 6:00AM 6:15AM Activities - Assembly - Opening prayer Preconference - Submission and signing of requirements (Drug study, NCP) - Instructions and tasks of assigned student nurses - Checking of paraphernalia 7:45 8:30AM 8:30- 10:30AM Nursing Rounds to assigned patients Morning Care, Initial assessment, IV receiving Observing and supervising students while in the area Log in of 8am vital signs and giving of scheduled medications Health Teaching to student nurses c/o PHNs Lunch Break Going back to the area Monitor V/S, Medications as scheduled, MIO, carry out doctors order Evaluation After an 8 hour shift in General Surgery- CLMMRH, the Practicing Clinical Instructor was able to:

Lesson Plan for Practice Teaching Specific Topic : Perforated Peptic Ulcer Disease (PPUD) Date /Time Frame: November 20, 2012; 20 minutes General Objectives : After 20 minutes of Practice Teaching, the student nurses will be able to: 1. Define what PPUD is all about, its etiology, signs and symptoms, selective treatment, and most of all the nursing responsibilities in caring for client experiencing on such phenomenon. 2. Respond to the active learning discussion such by question and answer regarding the topic. 3. Show appreciation of the topic of interest in terms of the nature of PPUD and its effect on individual person. Teaching Strategies : 1.
