PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST

SREN KIERKEGAARD in images

In the context of the celebrations of the bicentenary of the birth of Danish philosopher Sren Kierkegaard, Motivarte, School of Photography and the Royal Embassy of Denmark in Argentina organize the photo contest "Sren Kierkegaard in Pictures" inviting photographers to participate, amateurs and professionals, from all over the world. This contest has for aim to highlight the thoughts of Kierkegaard interpreted in photographic images, this is why the authors that achieve the best representation will be recognized. The best 10 photographs will be exposed at the gallery of the School of Photography Motivarte (Buenos Aires, Argentina), on a gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark and at the Danish consulate in Uruguay. The contest Terms and Conditions 1. Its open to everyone over 18, regardless their nationality and/or residence country. 2. What does Sren Kierkegaard tell us today? The theme of this contest is Kierkegaards poetic, treated in the following topics: a) Love b) Seduction c) Finding yourselves d) Decision. In their Works, the participants should capture the vision f the Danish philosopher from an original point of view. 3. Every participant should send by email to: direccion.adscripcion@motivarte.edu.ar a maximum of two (2) photos in the format JPG (300dpi). Every file should be presented with the following denomination: SURNAME, AUTHOR, ORIGIN COUNTRY, TITLE OF THE PHOTOGRAPH, together with the data sheet of the work/s indicating title, year of realization and a review, also the following personal data of the author or authors (its allowed up to two authors per work): name and surname, type and number of ID, address, phone and email. Every participant should include a demonstration in an affidavit (see Appendix) in which they affirm and certify that it holds all of the intellectual rights (s) photo (s) submitted (s). 4. The photos will be sent by mail to: : direccin.adscripcion@motivarte.edu.ar direccin.adscripcion@motivarte.edu.ar up to September, 2nd 2013. 5. The Works will be selected by a jury compound by members of Motivarte, School of Photography, from the Royal Embassy of Denmark in Argentina and specialist in Kierkegaard. On a first instance, the pre selection of the jury is composed by: Jonas Papier, rector of Motivarte, School of Photography (www.motivarte.com) Facundo Pechervsky, representative from Motivarte, School of Photography in Madrid (Spain) and the Lic. Erica Koleff, Studies Assignment Manager of Motivarte. On a second instance, final of the selection, will be part of the jury: Rasmus Ouistgaard, the Kierkegaard 2013 (http://kierkegaard2013.dk/en) Oscar Cuervo of Kierkegaards Library (http://www.sorenkierkegaard.com.ar/) and Nina Skyhj Olsen, assessor of the Royal Embassy of Denmark in Argentina. 6. The 10 (ten) photographs selected as finalists will be printed and exposed in the gallery of Motivarte, School of Photography (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in a gallery in Copenhagen, sponsored by the Argentinean Embassy in Denmark and in the Danish Consulate in Uruguay. With no prejudice of being exposed in other places.

7. Authors of the selected works wont receive a monetary compensation but a mention in the correspondent credits to be used in the entire graphic of the show. The participation of this contest implies the authorization of Motivarte School of Photography and The Royal Embassy of Denmark in Argentina to the reproduction, publication, exposure and any other diffusion that is considered pertinent both the photographs and the authors name, as long as the use of this photographs does not imply direct profit to the organizers. With the exception of the above provisions, the authors keep all the rights of intellectual property over the photographs that they present. Annex Affidavit I hereby declare and confirm that: 1. I am/we are the original author/s of the work/s (title of the work) and as such, titular/s of all the rights of intellectual property over the photographs. 2 That I assign and transfer to the organizers of the Contest Sren Kierkegaard in images the right of Exposing in public the work/s under this contest and the successive expositions considered appropriate. 3. That I assign and transfer to the organizers the non exclusive rights of reproducing the selected Works in the expositions catalogue and reproducing the selected works in every kind of publication and/or media that helps the diffusion of this contest.
