Oracle Linux 6 Implementation Specialist Boot Camp

Oracle Linux 6 Implementation Specialist Boot Camp is designed to prepare partners to understand the core concepts and practical knowledge required in order to prepare for the Oracle Linux 6 Implementation Essentials Exam (1Z0-460) and become an Oracle Linux 6 Certified Implementation Specialist. Through a series of lectures and hands on labs, attending partners will gain expertise with Oracle Linux 6 powerful new features and be able to demonstrate knowledge on how to effectively utilize these features during installations and implementations with their customers. This boot camp has been created to reflect the changes introduced in Oracle Linux 6.3. What will we cover: The Oracle Linux 6 Implementation Specialist Boot Camp will provide students with a thorough introduction into the technical implementation aspects of Oracle Linux 6 installation, configuration, file system and network administration, package management, troubleshooting as well as introducing some of the unique Oracle Linux features like Ksplice Zero Downtime Patching, and Oracles Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel. The combination of recommended training plus the two day boot camp which will consist mainly of hands on labs should help prepare students to take the Certified Implementation Specialist exam for Oracle Linux 6.

The lab exercises for the course require the student to use their own laptop and have installed and running Oracle VirtualBox. They will use VirtualBox to run all the Oracle Linux 6 lab exercises for practice. In order to start the course on time the student should have completed the following pre-work.
