UF Student Involvement

Dance Marathon April 2012-present Dancer April 2012 -Raised $600, and stood for 26.2 hours with over 800 other UF students to raise money for Shands Hospital and the Childrens Miracle Network. Morale Captain September 2012-present -Selected as 1 of 30 captains for Morale for Dance Marathon 2013. I am responsible for keeping the morale of the dancers high, planning themed hours, and helping teach a line dance to the dancers. Raised over $1,200. Florida Blue Key March 2013-present Community Involvement Director -Worked to plan service projects for the UF Florida Blue Key honor society to help put on throughout the year. Student Government September 2011-September 2012 District A Student Senator -Served a year term as 1/100 Senators for the UF legislative branch Unite Party Area Leader -Oversaw the campaigning tactics of the Spring 2012 Unite Party candidates, encouraging them to reach out to all students to vote. Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Active Member August 2012-May 2015

Scholarship Chair December 2012-present -Worked with a co-chair to ensure all members were academically fit to retain membership in Alpha Delta Pi; organized and planned bi-weekly study hours for the chapter, and offered positive reinforcement for chapter members who exhibited academic excellence.

Gator Growl/Homecoming April 2012-November 2012 Assistant Director for Art/Layout -Worked under the direction of the Art/Layout Directors, and helped to create promotional logos and artwork for Gator Growl and Homecoming. Miss UF Pageant April 2012-November 2012 Assistant Director -Worked under the direction of the Miss UF pageant director, and was in charge of advertising and promoting for the event. Young Leaders Conference September 2012-present Small Group Leader - Worked alongside 40 other Small Group Leaders to create workshops for the Young Leaders Conference in Gainesville. Worked specifically with a co-Group Leader to mentor ten high school students from around the state of Florida through various activities. Volunteer Work/Community Involvement

Volunteer -Volunteer 6 hours per week working on stories for radio, television, and web for the University of Florida broadcasts. I am familiar with interviewing, cutting sound bites, and wrapping stories with my own recorded voice.

Ronald McDonald House September 2012-present Volunteer -Helped prepare meals for families living there, and helped clean up and beautify the area. Childrens Miracle Network April 2012-present Volunteer -Participated in fundraising, events, and planning all year long for Dance Marathon at the University of Florida, all for the benefit of the Childrens Miracle Network and Shands Hospital. National Hispanic Recognition Program August 2010 Scholar -Awarded by the College Board, this award is given to the top 5,000 high school juniors based upon PSAT/NMSQT scores; It is awarded based upon scores and recipients must be at least Hispanic to receive the award.
