Cosenza National Gallery is on the hill Triglio in the square Gian Vincenzo Gravina in Cosenza, and is housed in the

premises of one of the most impressive buildings linked to the history of the city of Cosenza: Palazzo Arnone.

It plays a crucial role in the recovery of the cultural identity of the region, perfectly connecting to the wider national and European historical and artistic phenomenology, thanks to the works of its permanent collection, starting with the first room, dedicated to the painting of Sixteenth century painters from South of Italy .

In 1982 the building of Presidi or Palazzo Arnone passed to the Ministry for Cultural and Environmental Heritage with the main aim of establishing a National Gallery for the city of Cosenza.

The National Gallery of Cosenza exhibits, in the first room, Southern artists of the sixteenth century, as Marco Cardisco and Pietro Negroni
