Geography: Realms, Regions and Concepts. 15th Ed (2011) Recommended: Access to a good atlas (either book or online) Learning Objectives The goal of this course is to gain an understanding of different cultures and regions through examination of cultural, political, economic, and physical features of the inhabited areas of the Earth. Emphasis will be placed on such issues as location, development, population, politics, economic linkages, human rights, customs, and belief systems in an attempt to gain a broader understanding of the complex relationships among the regions of the globe. General Policies Attendance in class is very important. Please turn off (or put in silent mode) cellular phones and beepers during class meetings. Avoid any use of other electronic devices that may disturb other students.
BE ON TIME FOR ALL QUIZZES AND EXAMS!!! If you are more than 30 minutes late, you will not be allowed to take it.
