perience ""# " ha e to make the description of any English lesson of any $ear ($ear 1-$ear %)& This obser ation is for the sub'ect course(ork 1 English )anguage Teaching *ethodology (E)T*)& " carry out this obser ation in S+ )egeh (hich is located in rural area some(here in ,eli# +elantan& The target group that " choose is $ear 1 students& The class-s name is 1 ./& 0./1 refers to the third le el of the class hierarchy in the school& Their le els of proficiency in English are lo( because the school is located in rural area& )ack e!position of English )anguage in rural area leads to the lo( proficiency in this language to the students& The reason (hy " choose $ear 1 students because usually the teacher use arious teaching methods to ensure the process of teaching and learning runs smoothly in the classroom& *oreo er# the teacher also uses ariety of teaching aids to ensure the students fully understand the lesson& "t makes the teacher-s (orks easier and lighter& The theme that " obser ed is about 23orld of +no(ledge- and the topic is )et-s Eat (4ruits)& The theme and topic are based on the te!tbook syllabus& The topic focused in language skills and proficiency in second language& By the end of the lessons# the pupils should be able to spell# read the (ords and (rite the names of the fruits correctly& The teacher uses te!tbook as the reference for the lesson& Teacher refers to te!tbook entitled 2E56)"S7 $E89 1 SE+:)87 +EB856S885 (+SS9)-& This te!tbook is the ne( edition for $ear 1 +SS9 students& 7o(e er# the teacher do not use the te!tbook directly but pick the topic from it and conduct the lesson by using the teaching aid& The lesson is carried out inside the classroom (here it is a comfortable place for the students to learn& 4irstly# the teacher introduces the topic (hich is 4ruits& Then# the teacher read the (ords aloud in picture cards one by one and follo(ed by the students& Teacher asks the students to come in front of class to read the (ords labeled one by one and follo(ed by others& 8fter that# teacher asks students to dra( the picture of fruits
