Calculating The Arabic Parts

Most of us have heard of the Arabian Parts. How many have actually taken the time to THOROU H!" test them out# $e always calculate the Part of %ortune& but do we know what it means and what to e'(ect out of it# $e have read many articles about what they symboli)e. *owhere have we read any amount of information showin+ them in action. $hen , tested them out for the first time - years a+o& , was astonished. /elieve me when , say they work. "ou must use very ti+ht orbs 0 no more than 102 de+rees with an Ecli(se or !unation& one de+ree in transits and no more than 34 minutes a((lyin+ to e'act in (ro+ressions. 5ometimes you may have to use your own 6ud+ment 0 if you see it workin+ with a sli+htly wider orb& use it. This is the way we learn.

There are two ways to calculate some of the Arabic Parts and these should be adhered to faithfully. $here , have an asterick 789 remember to use the formula as stated for A.M. births and to reverse the formula for 8P.M. birth times. That is& as with the Part of %ortune& the normal calculation is Ascendant : Moon 0 5un for A.M. births and most calculations are used in this manner no matter what time of the day you were born. However& mine never worked because , was born in the evenin+. $ell& when , re0calculated my Part of %ortune for the P.M. birth& it works. 5o& when , say reverse the (rocedure& instead of usin+ the Ascendant : Moon 0 5un& you would use Ascendant : 5un 0 Moon and what a difference that makes. Please heed this rule if you wish to calculate correctly.

$ith an Ecli(se& a (art will sometimes activate immediately 7that is within a few hours of the Ecli(se9. Or& you must watch the transits carefully for a tri++er. ;om(are the e'act de+ree of the Part bein+ as(ected with the de+ree of the Ecli(se or lunation. This +ives im(ortant information as to when the event will take (lace. ,f the Ecli(se or lunation is <& =& 3& >& or 1 de+rees (ast the Part bein+ as(ected& you can look for the event to ha((en that many days& weeks or months from that time. ,f the de+rees are before the (art& the event took (lace beforehand.

$e have on an avera+e of at least > Ecli(ses yearly. They consist of two 5olar and two !unar which will activate Arabic (arts in everyone?s chart. $hen events take (lace and you can not see them 0 look to the Arabic Parts.

They (redict birth& weddin+s& +ood or bad luck& dece(tion& travel& etc. 7"ou will find a listin+ of the Arabic Parts below9. However& as the various Parts are e'(lained on events in my various stories& for easy reference& the Arabic Parts used and their formula will be included to hel( you understand how they interact.

$hen , calculate charts for my clients& , always use several of the (arts. The Part of %ortune& Part of Mother& Part of %ather and Part of 5iblin+s are used most of the time. ;lients are always lookin+ for information about family matters& so the Parts relatin+ to family work well. There can be @uestions about a raise in (ay 0 so you would add the Part of ,ncrease. !ook over the (arts and see what may be needed in the chart you are workin+ on and use them. The Arabic Parts work well with most birth times. $hen you are workin+ with charts that do not work as they should& they may need some rectification of the birth time.

Only you know how well your chart works. There are times when an event is set off by (ro+ressions and at other times by transits andAor lunations. Are your forecasts for your (ro+ressions correct or did they ha((en last year# Or& (erha(s they take (lace a year later. ,f they are a year off& then your chart is off by a de+ree or so. ;an you locate your weddin+ in your chart# How about that last raise in (ay# Or& last year?s vacation should have been shown with one of the Parts of travel as(ected. A+ain& you may have to rectify your chart before the Parts will work accurately.

5ometimes you will only find the as(ects when you set u( the a((ro(riate Arabic Parts and check out the Ecli(ses or lunations. ,t is there you will find the information. $e know that an Ecli(se will foreshadow an event. "ou must remember 0 Bwhatever the *ew Moon (romises& the %ull Moon fulfillsB.

5everal charts , have worked with are from the news media with no birth times +iven& so 5olar ;harts were used. "ou will be sur(rised how accurate the Parts work in 5olar ;harts. There is definitely ho(e for those clients without birth times when you use 5olar ;harts and the 5olar Arabic Parts. , have ado(ted a habit& if you will& of usin+ CD>1 A.M. for my Bunknown birth timesB& both in my 5olar ;harts& and the ones , use the CD>1 A.M. time& which have (roved out to work @uite well& instead of usin+ the normal 5olar ;harts.

Reference for ;alculation

There seems to be confusion about how to calculate the Arabic Parts mathematically. $e will do it the easy way& without the use of an Arc table. Eust remember the basics. < ;hart contains <= si+ns < 5i+n contains 34 de+rees < Fe+ree contains C4 minutes Also& every si+n has a number accordin+ to it?s rotation in the Godiac 0 Aries is H<& Taurus is H=& emini is H3& etc. $e will use the number of the si+n rather than the de+rees for our e'am(les.

Many times& you will have to borrow <= si+ns. %rom that you may have to borrow one si+n& or 34 de+rees. Often& you have to +o throu+h all of this 6ust to borrow one de+ree to +et C4 minutes because there 6ust are not enou+h minutes to do your subtraction. $e are not +oin+ to +et you lost in math. This is really sim(le. E'am(les follow.
