Shadow Elves Shadow elves were once high elves that had become trapped on the plane of shadows

for over one hundred years; over this time they changed to become more suited to their new environment. Shadow elves tend to be slightly taller than high elves with the common range being 5 foot 6 to 6 foot 3, with either stand high elves pale skin or even a purple color (on rare occasions Shadow elves might have black skin akin to drow, but this is exceedingly rare). Common eye colors for brown, light green, silver, with blue and purple being the most common color. They have the same general hair color ranges as high elves, though some may have a stranger color hair. Shadow elves often have a swirling aura of shadows around their body most commonly when they are conflicted with a powerful emotion, but are always present in dim lighting. While this shadowy aura isnt black, as it is commonly a shade of purple, it does often give them a dark, evil look. Shadow elves are commonly chaotic neutral, neutral evil, neutral good or lawful evil alignment, with chaotic neutral and neutral evil being the most common. Shadow elves communities have strong connects to one and another, just like normal elven communities, but are not as socially strict in their beliefs as most elves are. However, they (while not xenophobic like other elves) take the elven we are better than, those non-elves to larger extremes as they are rather cruel to most non elves going so far as to willing torturing such individuals for little to no reasons. As a whole the shadow elves want to spread, to go as far and wide as possible, to go and dominate the world or even further, if possible. However, not all shadow elves are like this some are not as prone to harm non-elves like their other brethren and others would like their race to go back to how they were before they became trapped in the plane of shadows for 100 years.

As a shadow elf, you have the fallowing racial traits. Ability Score Adjustments: Your Dexterity, Intelligence, and Charisma scores increase by 1. Size: Medium. Speed: 45 feet. Shadow Sight: You can see in darkness within 60 feet of you as if it were dim light, even in magical darkness effects. When you do so, your vision is in black and white. Elf Weapon Proficiencies: When fighting with a composite shortbow, composite longbow, shortbow, longbow, short sword, or long sword you gain a +1 bonus To Hit. Elven Keen Senses: You have advantage on Wisdom (Spot) checks and Intelligence (Search) checks. An elf that merely passes within 5 feet of a secret, hidden, or concealed door is entitled to a Wisdom (Spot) check to spot the door (you do not get the advantage from this ability on this check), as if the elf was actively look for it. Shadow Plane Resistance: You have Resistance to cold and negative energy.

Elven Constitution: You are immune to magical sleep effects, a ghouls paralyzing bite, and have advantage on charm effects. Create Shadows: Once per day, you can create an area of shadows made from the energy of the Plane of Shadows with a radius of 30 feet at point you select and you can move this point by focusing on it (this uses a move action). All normal or magical light sources within this radius are negated as if under the effect of a 4th level darkness effect. This functions as magical darkness, creates with darkvision cannot see with in, effects that require at least dim light to be used function within this radius. This effect last for one minute per level and can be dismissed at will as a free action. For every four level you have the radius of shadows gain 10 feet. Shadow Magic: At 3rd level you can use mirror image once per day and at 10th level you can use plane shift once per day to travel to and from the prime material plane and the Plane of Shadows as you choose. Intelligence is your magic ability for it. Trance: Drows do not sleep. Instead, they meditate for 4 hours a day. (The common word for such meditation is trace.) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexives through the years of practice. After resting in this way you gain the same benefits that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. While in dim light or darkness you gain the fallowing benefits. Shadow Regeneration: At the start of your turn provided you are not at negative hit point, you regain 2 hit points. You can regain lost limbs, but they do not regrow into another you if they are cut off. Shadow Blend: As long as you are in at least in dim light, you can attempt to use a Dexterity (Stealth) check to hide; you have advantage on this check. If you succeed on this check, you are considered invisible until you attack, cast a spell that requires a verbal component, or enter an area of sunlight (or a light spell that provides the equivalent). Languages: You can speak, read, and write common and elves.
