Developing its products around the natural resource of seaweed, this food grade factory brings to life today's growing reliance on non-artificial goods. The sheltered bays and unpolluted waters of the Atlantic Ocean make Ireland's west coast an ideal location for Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed growth. Along this scenic shoreline the practice of seaweed harvesting has been an Irish tradition for over 50 years and from such experienced sources originates the fresh seaweed used to develop OGT's products. On arrival at the factory the seaweed is hand inspected prior to production to ensure it equals the company's high quality demands. From here the seaweed enters a unique cold extraction process vital for the retention of both the micro and macronutrients but also various antioxidants in which Ascophyllum nodosum is naturally rich. OGT is enforcing a resource traceability scheme as well as a close quality control assessment with regular analyses of the end products. This extract is used in the production of OGT's popular 'AlgaeGreen' products ranging from a natural liquid
