SPA Anchor Systems

Description

Precast concrete sandwich panels consist of two layers of concrete that are factory-made with a central layer of uninterrupted insulation to make them thermally efficient.

The SPA Anchor System safely connects the various layers and transfers the load of the external facing panel to the internal load bearing panel and the supporting structure. The system is designed to assist fast, efficient casting and allows panel demoulding and pitching at an early stage. The SPA Anchor System is made from grade A4 stainless steel and is engineered so that high load capacity is achieved with the minimum cross section of wire on every anchor.

This system will avoid any cold bridging from the outer skin to the inner panel or structure and will not restrict differential movement. Anchor selection and layout should be prepared using the Halfen calculation disc.

Precast concrete sandwich panels can be demoulded, turned and erected using TPA-FX lifting anchors. See the current TPA lifting brochure for details.

Used to stiffen narrow areas and to allow for eccentricity in the loading of the outer skin during panel handling.

Used singly at the centre of gravity or in multiples close to equidistant from the centre of gravity to support the deadweight of the outer skin.

Used to prevent outer panel curvature at panel extremities and to resist wind pressure and suction whilst allowing differential movement.
