Caste System or Class System: A Quick Rant By Adam J.

Hayden May 20, 2013 It *the Caste System+ was not an arbitrary set of divisions or inequalities established through main force by a varying collection of sequential oppressors. It was a reflection of the fact that there were differences in capabilities and capacities of the different types of human beings alive at the time. Some were ingenious artists, builders and artisans, some were naturally gifted traders and negotiators. Some had been bred to have an overview and some were fearless, heroic soldiers. Each group had its part to play in the functioning of society (de Vere, 2004, p. 97). When most Western people contemplate the social organization of the human race, and most prominently in older nations, such as India, Pakistan, and Iraq, they tend to think that the various castes which people are forced into, are an archaic system to live ones life upon at best, and a barbarous custom at the worst. Waving the banner of Democracy across the planet, the American people, who threw off the British monarchy over 300 years ago, dont realize that they also live by the same stratification. Instead of calling them Brahmins, Ksatriyas, and Sudras (Callaham, 2012), we tend to call them Upper Class, Middle Class and Lower Class (Frances, 2012). No matter what equalization is forced upon a people, there will always be this stratification. It is inevitable. And whereas many people, when contemplating this phenomenon, may become horrified that they are stuck within a certain dimension of livelihood, others glory in this. Here in America, we are taught that we can be and do whatever we want, and to a certain extent this is true. We all have opportunities to follow our dreams and goals, but we may not have the natural skills and talents to fulfill these ideas. It is inevitable that based on our talents, we become forced into manual servitude, doing those things that do not serve our Highest Good, in order to achieve, in the long run, our most opportune goals. As a child, my goal was to help people with their problems, to be a mentor and guide within the realm of personal spirituality. And as such, my talents reside within those realms that the ancients would have called the Priesthood. But because of modern social conventions and an unseemly past (brought upon by not following my bliss), I am unable to follow the psychological profession (have almost received my Associates in Psychology at the moment of this article). Laws that once tended to protect the people are now used to hold these self-same individuals into a world of haves and have-nots, and a caste system in which everyone had a place of honor and respect based on talents, skills and means, is now based on how much money you make. Where each caste had a purpose to help the organic organism that was socially based has now become economically based.

So the question isnt about financial and economic reform as the Tea Party and the Occupy Movement here in the States have been pushing, but a social reformation where each individual is inline with their True Will, and given the resources to pursue such, irrespective of their monetary Class. And the realization that even though anyone can grow up to be President of the United States, but everyone should aspire to that goal, because they may not have the capability or capacity to truly fulfill the duties and responsibilities of such an office, and keep their own integrity.
