NOTICE OF VACANCIES The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, mandated to implement and supervise the governments comprehensive peace process, was created under Executive Order No. 3 on 28 February 2001. The said mandate laid the framework for the implementation, coordination, monitoring and integration of all government peace initiatives and the participation of civil society in the pursuit of a just and lasting peace in the country. To ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the government peace agenda, we are strengthening our workforce by engaging individuals who want to make a difference in our society. With that, the following positions are now open for application under the Communications Unit. EVENTS SPECIALIST PDO 3/PDO 4 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Take the lead in marketing the agency's campaigns and programs through events; (2) Organize and spearhead all events of the Communications Unit; (3) Take the lead in the conceptualization, planning, and operations of the Peace Month campaign; (4) Assist the other units in planning and implementing their events; and (5) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o o o o A graduate of any 4-year Communication Course Has at least 3 years of work experience in the field of events management and events hosting Has excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills Willing to travel in Mindanao, particularly in the ARMM and nearby provinces

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST (new position) PDO 3/ PDO 4 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Serve as principal web strategist, designer and web editor, as well as intranet liaison for IT; (2) Ensure that website content is up-to-date and is in alignment with organizational strategies, branding, and objectives; (3) Implement and maintain comprehensive social media strategies increasing agency visibility; (4) Day-to-day management on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, and other platforms where we have presence; (5) Take the lead in the dissemination of press releases and statements; (6) Spearhead the conceptualization and implementation of strategies to increase the agencys visibility in social media; (7) Build a peace constituency in the social media through marketing campaigns; (8) Monitor social media trends and recommend campaigns and strategies; and (9) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o o o o o o A graduate of any 4-year Communication Course Has at least 4 years of work experience in the field of social media and website management; Has a strong knowledge on social media analysis tools (i.e., Radian6, Google Analytics, etc); Has excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills; Has a strong knowledge/experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO); Has advanced writing skills for website content, blogs, and forums for link building/popularity

JUNIOR SOCIAL MEDIA ADMINISTRATOR PDO 1/ PDO 2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Assist the Social Media Specialist in strategizing, designing, and editing digital content; (2) Ensure that website content is up-to-date and is in alignment with organizational strategies, branding, and objectives; (3) Assist in the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive social media strategies that increase agency visibility; (4) Day-to-day management on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, and other platforms where we have presence (5) Take the lead in the dissemination of press releases and statements; (6) Build a peace constituency in the social media through marketing campaigns; (7) Monitor social media trends and recommend campaigns and strategies; and (8) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

2 SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERS (CNN and SAJAHATRA) PDO 5 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Spearhead the conceptualization and implementation of communications plans; (2) Identify IEC materials and communication activities that will enable the agency to achieve its communication goals and objectives; (3) Provide support to the agency in the planning and implementation of communication strategies; (4) Write press materials (press release, news release, media release, press statement, feature stories), and IECs (brochures, briefers, primers, handouts, etc.); (5) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o o o o o A graduate of Communications course At least 5 years work experience in the field of development communications and advocacy work At least 5 years work experience in writing and editing IEC materials Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills Willing to travel, particularly in the ARMM and nearby provinces

IEC Specialist (new position) PDO 3/ PDO 4 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Identify IEC materials that will enable the agency to achieve its communication goals and objectives; (2) Develop IEC strategies that complement the communication and work plans; (3) Conceptualize and produce effective IEC materials; (4) Aggregate IEC initiatives and requirements of partners/stakeholders and facilitate its speedy delivery; (5) Monitor supply and demand of IEC materials; and (6) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o o o o A graduate of Communications course At least 3 years work experience in the field of development communications and advocacy work At least 3 years work experience in writing and editing IEC materials Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills

Transcriptionist and Junior News Monitor (new position) PDO 1 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Provide timely transcripts of interviews and news reports; (2) Assist the Senior News Monitor in the monitoring and submission of news reports; (3) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o o o o A graduate of any 4-year Communication Course; Preferably with 1 year work experience in the field of news/media monitoring; Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills; and Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!

Administrative Officer PDO2 / PDO 3 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Manage and monitor all administrative documentation requirements and reports (budget requests, liquidations, reimbursements, procurements, etc); (2) Ensure units compliance with the rules and regulations of FAS and COA; (3) Organize administrative documents and ensure smooth traffic of incoming and outgoing office memos; (4) In charge of general logistics and budget during events and activities; and (5) Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o o o o o A graduate of a 4-year course related to Finance/Accountancy With at least 1 year work experience as an Administrative Officer Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills Knowledgeable in legal and fiscal matters Knowledgeable in financial management
