I. FORUM VENUE
The Asia Pacific Procurement Forum will be held on 24 - 25 August in Auditorium Zone B at ADB
Headquarters, No. 6 ADB Avenue, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.
ADB-sponsored participants are booked at Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, Ortigas Avenue corner ADB
Avenue Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Manila, Philippines, Tel No. 0063-2 633-7222, Fax: 0063-2-633-2821,
website: www.ihg.com). The hotel provides the following amenities: complimentary daily buffet breakfast,
complimentary mineral water, free local calls, 25% discount on international calls, 25% discount on daily
charge for unlimited internet, daily coffee or tea set-up in the room, and daily newspaper.
ADB will directly settle with the hotel, accommodation charges for the nights of 23 to 25 August 2009 (or
whatever is applicable in your case). A lump sum cash allowance of US$200 will be provided to cover
meals and miscellaneous travel expenses (airport transfers, in-city transport, visa fees, airport taxes, etc.
for the duration of your stay in Manila).
Upon arrival in Manila, please proceed to the International Organizers Desk located at the airport lobby
where an ADB contact person will direct you to the taxi queue (at the Arrival Area) for your transfer to the
hotel.
For your convenience, you may avail of accredited fixed rate or metered taxis. Accredited transfer
services on a pre-paid coupon basis currently charge a rate of Philippine Peso (PhP) 610 (about
US$12.70) at exchange rate of PhP48 per US$1.00) if drop off or pick up point is within Ortigas Center,
where ADB and Crowne Plaza are located. Accredited NAIA metered taxis (different from regular taxis)
generally fetch lower rates than pre-paid transfer services.
Access by participants to the ADB building is allowed only through a visitor registration system. All those
who have confirmed their participation have been enlisted in the system and will be issued an event-
specific ID pass upon presentation of any valid ID with photo (e.g., passport or driver’s license).
The ADB-issued event-specific IDs will be valid throughout the duration of the Forum and will allow
participants to get in and out of ADB through its various gates. Please wear the ID at all times while
inside ADB premises.
V. MEALS
Snacks will be served in the morning and in the afternoon during the Forum. All participants are invited to
lunch on Monday, 24 August at Private Dining Rooms (PDR) 2 – 4 and Tuesday, 25 August 2009, in the
Executive Dining Room (EDR) Coffee Lounge from 12:00 to 1:30 and a cocktail reception in the ADB
EDR Coffee Lounge from 5:30-7:00 p.m (second floor, take the spiral stairways near the Auditorium).

VI. Departure
Due to occasional heavy traffic between The Crowne Plaza and the airport, it is advisable to leave for the
airport at least 3 hours before your flight departure. Please prepare PhP750 or its US dollar equivalent
(about US$17) for payment of international terminal fee.
