of Position: 1 Work Location: Bangalore Required to Join: Immediate (No one with 2/3 months notice period) Responsibilities: Implement and administer robust, scalable, production Systems Work with other systems engineers and development team on implementing scalable systems solutions to support on-going enhancements of the Platform Work closely with the Development teams to facilitate enterprise application architecture initiatives Build monitoring and alerting tools, and report on operational metrics Participate in strategic planning, tactical operation planning, and the development of contingency operation plans for Production and other environments Provide timely response and analysis for production troubleshooting Provide weekly reports on server and systems monitoring, backups, and utilization, trends, successes and challenges Prepare disaster recovery site and test exercises to restore all operations in a timely manner Develop and implements standards, procedures, best practices and business processes Accessibility 24/7 to support in rotation

Desired Skills: 4-6 years of progressive professional Linux/Unix experience Knowledgeable in one or more of the following programming/scripting languages - Perl, Bash, C, Java, HTML, XML, CSS Strong understanding of current network protocols, architecture, and design Linux Kernel Tuning, Strong understanding of distributed architecture designs Understanding of DNS is required Experience with various monitoring tools and concepts. Amazon EC2/S3 experience is highly desirable

Passion for automation through Perl/Bash/Python Previous experience with one or more of the following RDBMS MySQL / MongoDB Experience with Amazon EC2/VPC Experience with Puppet or Chef a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Some Additional Notes from the Business Unit Must have for experienced candidates: Experience in implementing automation to deploy and manage custom applications on large number of servers (greater than 100).

We must avoid candidates: Who only have support experience Who have only worked on small deployments and haven't done any work to automate the deployment and management tasks.

These are not old fashion support or system admin positions, these position require both development and operational skills and need someone who is comfortable in doing both. These positions are also referred to as devops by several organizations to emphasize the combination of development and operations. In the US, devops jobs are one of fastest growing jobs and usually attract top talent eager to learn new skills for managing large scale cloud infrastructure. I am hoping given these are highly marketable skills and Sprinklr is one of the fastest growing company in the social media management space, we should be attract good candidates for these positions.
