Our Dear Friends in Christ:

We are using this means to thank you for your patience during the months in which

YOU didn't hear from us, and to explain our delay in getting out a newsletter.
At the moment, we are in the process of reorganizing the West German Christian

Mission in which the entire Mission, including the Forwarding Agent, is being placed
under the direction and supervision of the Buchanan Elders# This has necessitated our drafting a new constitution and by-laws. This change over has nothing to do with
THE dismissal OF THE TWO GERMAN SECRETARIES.

Our PERSONAL AND HEART-FELT THANKS IS BEING EXTENDED TO MR. & MRS. COLEMAN T.

Sparrow for their having served the Mission so well during the past ten years. Since THE Mission has grown so much, the work load was getting to be too great for one
person to handle.

St., Buchanan, Michigan 49107.

After April 20, 1966 please send all, contributions to; Mrs. Lloyd Judy, 318 Lake

HEN A MISSIONARY FAMILY

many things that demand atten tion. For example, we had to get the entire family caught up on our shots and vaccination. We also had to reg

Getting adjusted to the foreign ways again is another. Ve have to realize that the stores are closed daily be

you must shop accordingly. No longer do we think in terms of "a quart" of milk, but "ein Liter" Milch. Perhaps
the most difficult adjustment is the

"NEWS BEHIND OUR NEWSLETTER" BY ILA BELLE

We would like for our readers to know
THOSE BEHIND THE SCENE

those who are working to get the WEST

GERMAN CHRISTIAN MISSION NEWS in the mail. First of all, the news is

written in Frankfurt, Germany, with Mr. Fausz doing the art and lay-out
work. The film is sent to Mr. Robert

Green, minister at the Taylorville, Illinois, Church of Christ, who in turn

prints the newsletter. We appreciate so very much the wonderful job Mr.
Green is doing.
The Missions Committee and volun teers from the First Christian Church

Michigan City, Indiana, (Miss Henning's living-link church) address the

newsletters by machine and by hand. Mrs. Irene Agemy is in charge of the mailing aind we are so very thankful for her many hours of labor in keep ing the mailing list up to date and su pervising the mail-out. Her regular

So our hats off to Robert Green, Taylorville, Illinois; Mrs. Agemy, the Missions

Both Joy and Sorrow can be found within the boundaries of Germany at Christ
mas, because the nation is split in to by the iron curtain. This unnatural di vision is separating a people and preventing their having fellowship with other
members of their families and friends. Christmas is a time for fellowship &

(as the Germans would say:} "Gemutlichkeit!" The very first Christmas Eve brought Heaven and Earth together, as both the angelic host of heaven joining the humble shepherds of the field, filled the earth with their singing as they worshipped and praised our Father in Heaven \ Although we cannot travel and visit our radio listeners in East Germany, they are being extended an opportunity to join us in our singing and praise! Msinya soul is arrested and imprisoned, however, because of their Faith in God! We who live in freedom, cannot always understand just how terribly persecuted & down-trodden these people are. It is hard for us to visualize the price of real Faith which is being daily tested in blood and persecution!
There is one thing, however, of which they can be certain! That one thing is the HOPE which we have in Christ, Jesus! For Christ, our Saviour, is both

the "fulfiller" and the "fulfillment" of our Hope!
