Introduce Snow (big book Journeys Unit 3) Take a picture walk, TCW discuss what is happening in the story, and identify the genre (fantasy). Review setting hand motions. TTW create a drawing blue print of their community on poster paper in groups identifying: bodies of water, mountains, roads, schools, businesses, neighborhoods, homes. They will create a key for their map feature. Assessment: TSW verbally identify the purpose of the map key and landforms on the blueprint. K-1.4, K-1.2
