November 7, 2013 Re: Recommendation Letter for Jessica Liss Dear Law School Admissions Committee: Jessica Liss

asked me to supply you with a letter of reference in support of her application for admission to your law school. Jessica has interned for me since August 2013 as Career Services Communication Intern. I have overseen the Internship Program at two universities since 2006, first the University of Texas Pan American and now St. Edwards University. In my years of working with students, I can honestly say Jessica Liss stands out as a true star amongst the thousands of students I have seen. Her outstanding grasp of professionalism, maturity, clarity, and communication skills have made her a standout. I view these skills as extremely important in her planned career. As an intern in Career Services, students must possess a strong sense of character, compassion, and creativity in their everyday duties. Jessica excelled in both, and has been one of the few students with perfect attendance as an intern, always on time and ready to work. Without being loud or interruptive, she is always a ready and regular participant in office meetings and has always added value to such discussiona rare occurrence indeed. Her writing skills are similarly strong as she demonstrated in her student editorials on the departments blog. In these student outcome blogs, Jessica presents a thoroughlyresearched analysis of students internship experiences and how they successfully have either attained full time jobs upon graduation or what advice they want to provide to students on how to become just as successful in their collegiate endeavors. Working within Career Services is extremely demanding and students who work in this office are known for their professionalism, strong character, and their want to help other succeed. So far in the midst of her semester, Jessica has attained an A in her evaluation. Career Services also has a reputation for forcing students to use strategic reason, the same reason which I have noted to be a characteristic trait of my students who have gone on to be great lawyers. It has been a pleasure to write this letter for Jessica Liss. Over the years I have written many graduate and professional school recommendations for my students. I cannot think of another reference I have written, however, where I feel as strongly about a students potential to excel in law school. It is for these reasons that I provide her with my most outstanding recommendation. Jessica will make a great addition to your law schools program. Warmest regards, Araceli A. Perez-Ramos, Internship Coordinator Office of Career Services St. Edwards University
