Amendment 3 Author of Amendment Proposal for a regulation Recital 5 a (new) Text proposed by the Commission Amendment (5a) In addition to the considerable risk of a serious offshore oil or gas accident, the constant oil pollution of the marine environment and gas leaks into the sea and atmosphere, even during normal offshore extraction operations complying with all safety requirements, remains a problem.
