Aker Solutions offers complete subsea lifecycle operations to its clients and is present in over 30 countries. Aker Solutions subsidiary Aker Oilfield Services is offering fully integrated services ranging from subsea installation, completion to advanced well intervention operations from the companys fleet of state-of-the-art monohull well intervention units. Skandi Aker, the first in our series of OSCV 06L sister vessels, is specially designed and equipped for deepwater subsea well intervention operations. Skandi Aker is classed as a Well Intervention Unit in compliance with the IMO-MODU code. The unit is environmentally friendly with focus on low fuel consumption, low exhaust emissions, and has precautions in accordance with DNVs Clean class requirements requirements incorporated into the vessel design The units main features are: Subsea well clean-up and testing Riser based intervention down to 2500 meters by use of 7 3/8 high pressure riser facilitating - Wireline, slickline and e-line, intervention - Coiled tubing, up to 2 7/8 size, intervention - Pumping services - Well clean-up and well testing Installation/retrieval of subsea tree systems Shallow water riserless subsea wireline intervention Subsea construction and installation ROV operations/survey Skandi Aker is fitted with a 42 meter tall derrick with an active heave compensated cranes: one of 400 tonnes and one of 100 tonnes (dual fall) capacity. The vessel has a skidding system with pallet capacities of 100 tonnes in the moonpool area and 60 tonnes outside. ROV operations can be performed in sea states up to Hs 6 m. The unit allows building of toolstrings in a non-heaving environment and has a riser bore size equal to subsea completion (up to 7 3/8).
