NOrmandy ReGiOn | On June 6, 1944, Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, launching t h e c a m p a i g n t h a t e v e n t u a l l y l i b e r a te d mainland Europe from the Nazis. Monuments, museums, bunkers and cemeteries are a living commemoration to the Battle of Normandy. Witness remnants of the floating roadways and piers built to create an instant por t at Arromanches. Learn more about Canadas role in the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy at the Juno Beach Centre. This interactive centre honours the war effort made by all Canadians, civilian and military alike, both at home and on the various fronts during the Second World War. And on top of that, participate in a commemorative 70 th Anniversary of D-Day Ceremony with groups from across Canada.

Amsterdam | With 1,200 bridges crisscrossing 160 canals, the capital city of Amsterdam begs to be discovered on foot. A local guide will lead you past the Westerkerk (West Church), where Rembrandt is buried. Pass by the 13 th century dam built to prevent the Zuiderzee Sea from flooding the city. See the Begijnhof, a lovely 14th-century sanctuary for the Catholic sisterhood of Begijnhotes before making your way to the city square of Waterlooplein. Visit the Anne Frank House, where the young girl hid with her family from 1942 to 1944. This is also the site where she penned her poignant diary, which has been translated into dozens of languages worldwide.

Berlin (On eXtensiOn) | Poised at the cutting edge of European culture, this German capital has been transformed since the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. On your tour, visit the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, named after the checkpoint station that once guarded the border between East and West Germany. Here you can see escape cars, hot air balloons and even a submarineall used in risky border crossings. Your walking tour will take you past cafs, restaurants and embassies along Unter den Linden, Berlins most elegant boulevard. Continue to the imposing Reichstag building, the historical seat of Germanys parliament, and head to the massive glass dome that overlooks the cityscape.
