Chemical nature Lupranol 4895-25 is a polyetherpolyol which has been grafted with styrene-acrylonitrile and contains primary hydroxyl end groups. It forms a stable dispersion which does not separate under normal storage conditions. This polyol contains an antioxidant combination which prevents core discolouration and which is free from BHT (2,6-Di-t-butyl-4-methylphenol). Applications The prefered use of Lupranol 4895-25 is alone or in mixture with Lupranol 2095 for the production of highly elastic polyurethane parts in the block foam process. Because of its special antioxidant combination Lupranol 4895-25 is also suitable for the production of low density HR (high resilience) foams. Lupranol 4895-25 can be used to advantage in foams which must pass flammability tests such as California 117. Supply and storage Lupranol 4895-25 is supplied in road tankers and non-returnable drums. After supply the product may be stored under appropriate conditions for at least six months. The storage temperature should be maintained between 20 C and 30 C. The storage temperature should be as close as possible to the temperature at which the material will be processed. Moist and wet conditions are to be avoided.
