Global College Malta (GCM) is the first College in SmartCity Malta. GCM intends to offer a Foundation Course in Management with English, a BA in Management, an MBA course and an MSc: Cloud Computing with Management, commencing September 2013.
Located in the heart of the Mediterranean and known for its stable economy, nice weather, safety and pro-education culture, Malta is the ideal setting for students. With over 300 days of sunshine a year and excellent connections to three continents, Malta is also the ideal business destination and home to a new generation of leaders. Maltas strategic position, and membership of the EU has made this country an important hub, connecting three continents. Malta also benefits from a stable government and an extremely low crime rate in comparison to other European countries. These factors, as well as the high level of literacy in English, have made Malta one of the top destinations for expatriate and students of English. In addition this sun-soaked destination is considered by International Livings 2011 Quality of Life Index to have the best climate in the world. The cost of living is also very affordable, and rental of accommodation is among the cheapest in Europe. Not surprisingly, this country ranked the 15th best place to live in the whole world (International Living).

Throughout my life I have been very lucky and I find the harder I work, the better my luck gets. For many years I lecturered at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh while simultaneously starting and developing a Management Consultancy which continues to work throughout Europe. My public ethos has seen me appointed to various Government commissions and task forces in the area of Enterprise and Social Enterprise and I have written several books on these topics. Finally I derive much pleasure from the broadcasting work I do for the BBC with much fun being had in the comedy shows in which I perform. Life is good and we should work hard to make it better for everyone. Ray Donnelly R.D. M.Ed. M.B.A. Ph.D
At present I am a part-time tutor and mentor for college lecturers enrolled on the PG and UG Teaching Qualification Further Education at the University of Dundee. I also work as a consultant in Scotlands colleges providing support for staff undertaking professional development awards. I have over 25 years experience in the post-compulsory education sector as a lecturer in business education, senior lecturer, head of department, quality of learning and teaching manager and director of curriculum. During this time I was seconded to Her Majestys Inspectorate of Education as an Associate Assessor and also to the Scottish Qualifications Authority as an External Verifier and Principal Examiner at Advanced Higher level. Moira A Glencorse MSc, DipCom, TQFE Twenty years ago I jumped from managing an agency into the salary-less and draughty world of self-employment, designing courses on the soft skills areas of management. It was the right decision. It gave me the opportunity to explore also an intriguing form of painting, the ancient art form of using pigmented beeswax. Creativity in the forms of painting commissions, garden design and writing poetry reflect my zest for life in both work and play. Thus I teach management and enterprise and organise a busy consultancy while indulging myself in my other interests. No one says at the end: I wish Id spent more time at the office! Chris Williams MSc I have had both a business and an academic career, working for British Steel in Scotland and Lloyds the Underwriters in London, and teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. My background is in IT, and in the 80s I switched to Occupational Psychology, gaining a PhD from Manchester University. I have published numerous papers and books and am currently director of a management consultancy. My interests include history, golf, and metal detecting. Married, with a daughter.
