PHOTO CORNER DR. SALMON HONORED BY NAACP 2013 NJ GOVERNOR AND US SENATE SPECIAL ELECTION
David was joined by his parents Joe and Kathy, girlfriend Jennifer, and NJ Fifth District Assemblyman Gilbert Whip Wilson. David previously worked in the Fifth District under Wilson who is an Air Force combat veteran. The 108th ARW, nicknamed Jersey Thunder, has over 1,200 airmen and serves a dual state and federal role. The New Jersey ANG is under the jurisdiction of the Governor of New Jersey unless federalized by the President of the United States. As such the ANG is a vital component of the US Air Forces Reserve unit structure. New Jersey ANG units have been deployed overseas in Afghanistan, Iraq and many other worldwide locations. The New Jersey ANG has flown over 17,000 hours during ongoing operations for the Global War on Terrorism. David will work as a Medical Services Corp Officer completing an array of
administrative and logistical duties to support the wings healthcare providers and ensure the 108th Airmen receive top notch medical care. David will undergo Commissioned Officer Training next year at Maxwell Air Force Base located in Alabama.

The City of Bridgetons application to Green Acres was for $519,774.54, of which $389,830.91 is Green Acres funding and a $129,943.63 required match will be funded by Hopewell. Mayor Hankins also took a moment to emphasize the importance of the role played by their neighbors to the east, the City of Bridgeton. Since the land is contiguous to the Bridgeton City Park it was natural to include the City in this very aggressive project that will provide additional active recreational green space for both our communities and the county as a whole, said Hankins.

The NJ Energy Coalition hosted Pennsylvania Utility Commission Chairman Robert Powelson for its Fall Members meeting at Tavistock Country Club. Under Powelsons tenure, Pennsylvania is a national leader on natural gas development and infrastructure improvement. He discussed the impact of natural gas prices on the region and offered insight into regulating emerging technologies. Powelson discussed the impact of shale gas on Pennsylvania's and the regions economy.
