Performing Blackberry User Migration 1. Log into xxxxx 2.

Go to the start menu => Blackberry Enterprise Server Resource Kit => Blackberry Transporter => Blackberry Enterprise Transporter

3. In the Transporter tool select the new button under the User Manifest to create a new user XML file (if one already exists you can click the button to browse for it)

4. Type in the name of the manifest (this can be anything but usually want to include the date) and click Save.

5. Select configure button under the Source Domain (this is the BES DB that the user currently resides on)

6. Select the source DB server that the user resides on (in the case of moving a BES user from the NA BES to the EMEA BES you would select ussjssql01)

7. Click OK to continue.

8. Select configure button under the Destination Domain (this is the BES DB that you are wanting to move the user to)

9. Select the destination DB server that you want to move the user to (in the case of moving a BES user from the NA BES to the EMEA BES you would select gbcssql01) and click ok to continue.

10. Go to step 3 Manifest configuration and select the Details button[ WARNING DO NOT CHECK ANY CHECKBOXES UNDER MIGRATION OPTIONS, IF YOU DO SO THIS MAY POSSIBLY SHUT DOWN THE BES SERVICES OR MIGRATE THE ENTIRE USER BASE FROM THE SOURCE BES SERVER TO THE

DESTINATION BES SERVER]

11. Click the Find Users button to search for users on the source BES server that you want to move.

12. Type in the BES users display name, highlight the user and click ADD.

13. You will now see the user in the list (do this for as many users as you want to move I would recommend 5 at a time max). Under Dest Policy Select the Elekta EU Default policy.

14. Once you have configured all the users you want to move select the done button.

15. You will now see a the summary updated with the number of users that you added to the list.

16. Go to step 4 and click preview. This will give you a preview of the migration action before it runs.

17. You may be prompted for your BAS password, this is your BES account password which is also your admin account password. Enter the information to continue click the preview button.

18. You will see a command line screen pop up and it will give you the results of the preview.

19. Proceed to Step 5, you will now notice that the Migrate Button is now available. Press the migrate button to begin the migration.

20. As the migrations take place it will keep you updated on the status in the command window.

21. You will get a pop up message that the migration has been completed.

22. You can now log into the BES admin web console to view the users that were moved (in this case you would want to log into the EMEA server)

23. Click on Manage users.

24. Enter the display name of the user that you want to check and click the search button in the right hand corner.

25. You will now see that the user has been successfully moved to the new BES server and the that Elekta EU Default Blackberry Policy has been applied.
