Internships:
Summer Training and Internship at WSS(Well Stimulation Services) Ahmedabad ,ONGC (May June 2013) The long two month experience at WSS, ONGC involved in-depth understanding and learning of specialised well stimulation services offered by ONGC. The specialized process involved Coil Tubing Operation, Nitrogen Operation, Hydro Fracturing Operation, Gravel Pack, Acidization and Hot Oil Circulation. The numerous on-field job experiences were very useful in understanding practical use of the knowledge and provide insight into the oil industry. Internship provided the optimum exposure to exploration, extraction and production process of oil and gas industry. Studied and analysed Hydro fracturing models like KGD, PKN and P3D to try to achieve a temperature variation model for perforation. Internet Marketing and Analytics Internship at Layer Three Media Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Pune (May July 2012) The internship at the start-up which offered patented technology for protection against video piracy involved financial modelling and marketing. Work involved developing business model, finding potential markets, searching potential customers and client dealings. I was involved in developing revenue, probabilistic customer selection and profit share models for the company. Our Team developed marketing and psychological strategies to search and reach out to highly potential future customers. Social Media trends and video contents potential and history was analysed to select potential customers because even though we were a B2B company our revenue was linked directly with content buyers.

Projects: B.Tech Final Year Project:

Designing of vertical vapour deposition reactor for growth of carbon nanofibers Project Mentor: Dr. Nishith Verma, Chemical Engineering, (July 2013- present) Designing a vertical chemical deposition reactor to grow nanofibers over activated cardon fibres with greater efficiency than the previous vertical reactor by introducing radical changes in design which included the change in shape and size of the perforated tube. The 2D geometry designing was carried out in Gambit while the simulation was carried out in Fluent software. The model development involved in-depth analysis on conservation of energy, species and momentum. Effects of natural convection on heat transfer and heat generation due to benzene decay to form carbon are considered in the model too. *project work is going on ,this is supposed to be achieved.

Robotics Project:
Humanoid Robot BIPED ,Robotics Club Summer Project (May June 2011)

Designing and development of a robot which can mimic the human leg motion using basic electronic and mechanical engineering tools. The BIPED was controlled using a microcontroller and walked with the synchronised motion of servo motors while maintaining balancing his body. The robot was first of its kind to be made by first year students. The robot was appreciated in the students and alumni community alike. Its received pages in grapevine, an alumni newsletter and was also written about in NERD, an IITKs student published engineering and research magazine.

Engineering Design:
Autonomous Multi Level Car Parking (January April 2012)

Use of engineering design knowledge to create a technically challenging car lifting mechanism and then manufacture it using various core engineering process like lathe, milling, drilling etc. The design was created and simulated on Autodesk inventor and then modified as per various design challenges that immerged. A complex scissor jack was designed for lifting and was fabricate with shear accuracy that the complex jack assembly was assembled at first go. Metallurgical Process Project : Celtic Village (January April 2012)

The project included building a miniature model of a Celtic village with detailed description of features of a typical Celtic hut, trees, crops, miniature humans etc. The manufacturing was carried out using metallurgical process like welding, sheet metal work and casting.

Positions of Responsibility:
Financial Executive, Techkriti 2012 (Annual Technical and Entrepreneurial Fest of IIT Kanpur ) Managed finances with a small team to ensure smooth running of the technical festival. Helped in ensuring proper cash flow and maintaining balance sheets throughout the four day long extensive festival. Helped in increasing merchandise sales at the festival. Coordinated with my fellow teammates to ensure financial and essential product demands were meet during the pre, post and during festival periods. Was also involved in marketing of the festival. Looked into the financial aspect of catering required during the festival.

Assistant Coordinator, Workshops , Techkriti 2011 Managed and assisted in conduction of various technology and design workshops which saw an attendance of over 1500 students from all over the country. Coordinated to maintain finances during the entire period of the festival. Helped in coordinating a couple of workshops to ensure smooth conduction in the time constraint. Worked with the team to conduct the varied and extensive workshops over a period of four days. Ensured workshop registrations, conduction, certificate distribution, balance books management and grievance addressing were executed efficiently and timely. Team Mentor and member , Alumni Contact Program(ACP) , 2010-2012 Worked in the Alumni Contact Program under the DRPG (Dean of Resource planning and generation), IIT Kanpur focused on develop a strong relationship with the alumni to primarily boost research and development in institute through alumnis contribution. Was the first ever freshman to be chosen in the program. Contacted hundreds of alums all around the globe and helped in developing vital contacts and relationship with them and their alma mater. Work involved personal calls and messaging alumni of various batches and interact with them, every conversation was new learning experience and a step to long relationship. Helped in developing protocol and strategies to reach out to alumni over the world. Mentored a team of new members to train and monitor them during their joining period. Helped in incorporating suggestions giving by alumni regarding the working of the organisation and the institute. Secretary ,Ritambhara (Fashion Event),Antaragni 2011 Coordinated with a team for conduction of the spotlight event, Ritambhara during the cultural festival. Was involved in marketing and finances of the event. Worked to bring various sponsors from multiple platforms to join with fashion event. Helped in increasing participation in event. Ensured smooth and efficient conduction of the event. Volunteer, Student Placement Office (SPO) 2011 Helped in conduction of placement process for numerous companies throughout the winter placement season. Ensured timely conduction of placement process. Was involved in developing inter personal relationships with companys hiring personals. Fine art, Antaragni 2010 Assisted in conduction of various fine arts competition during the cultural fest during my freshman year. Ensured logistics and material requirement were properly looked after. Over saw smooth conduction of the events throughout the four days of the festivals which saw large participation.

Extra Curricular Activities and achievements:

Wild Soccer Robot: Won the wild soccer robotic competition during Takneek, Intra IIT robotics competition. Developed a robotic goalkeeper capable to more in any direction. The robot was equipped with innovatively designed Omni wheel made from a simple plastic wheel and guiding pinch rollers. The four wheels were placed in centre of the four faced square frame giving it the unique capability to move in all directions. The design was highly appreciated for its use of custom made wheels and vast degree of freedom of motion. Football I love playing the beautiful game of football. I have participated in all the football competition that are organised in the institute. Robotics I have been a regular member of the robotics club in the campus. I have taken part in various club projects and competitions. FIFA The game of virtual football is an activity that I am truly passionate about. I have participated at various FIFA competitions that occur in the campus. World Finance and Economy I am keenly interested in the financial world model and world economy, specially the reasons behind global financial meltdown of 2008. Writing I like writing poems and small write-ups. Travel I love to travel new and old places alike. My dream is to live my entire life travelling. NCC Was a part of NCC, IIT Kanpur during my freshman year. I was involved in the malaria prevention drive to aware people in the areas around the campus. NCC gave me the opportunity to use weapons and an unforgettable ride on the T-92 tank. Cultural Achievements Stood 2nd in cartoon script making competition during spectrum, intra IIT media event. Carved out of a thermacol, a sizable miniature replica of tag meal during, Galaxy, intra IIT cultural event which won 3rd price.
