PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:
Overall 2 YEARS of experience in NETWORKING DOMAIN. Working as a Test Engineer in Broadcom Private Limited (On Deputation), Bangalore: Developing testcases for validating the Chips which sit into different data centres and backhaul networks. Development of Architecture Validation test plans for the features and verifying them. Test plans are based on feature specific architecture documents, RFCs and IEEE standards. Worked on networking technologies at Layer 2 i.e. IEEE 802.3 Ethernet switching, 802.1D bridging, 802.1Q VLAN, IEEE 802.1ad (Q-in-Q) and Layer 2 protocols like STP, 802.1q, ARP, RARP. Worked on networking technologies at Layer 3 i.e. IPv4, IPv6, tunneling- IP-IP. Have validated the above features by developing test cases for new functional specifications in Tcl. The C model of ASICs is validated against IEEE, IETF standards. Virtual Ixia is the traffic generator used. Bugs in the chip architecture are reported to development team. Knowledge of VERSION CONTROL i.e PERFORCE and BUG TRACKING TOOL JIRA. Worked as a Trainee in Mindtree Limited for 4 months in testing domain . Continued with Automation testing under Radisys Project for 3 months.

Next Generation Ethernet Switch Data Link Layer Validation

Description:

Electronic system level (ESL) Validation is one of the complex and expensive task in the current system on chip design process. It is essential for any chip to capture the errors that occurs during architecture phase to reduce process cost. ESL Validation comes in the initial stage of the design cycle. ESL Validation covers all the customer features or architecture specifications.

The ESL Validation team develops the test case to validate the correctness of the software code developed by the implementation team, which is nothing but the simulation of the actual chip. It interacts with the implementation team to produce a bug free software code for RTL processing. The validation is done in chip level.

In this project we needed to test the architecture of next generation Switches and Routers designed by Broadcom Architecture team in US. I played the role of Functionality Test Engineer for L2/L3 features. Tested products which are already in the market. Responsibilities: Understanding and supporting the validation environment which was created using System-C test-bench and TCL. Understanding the features of the network switch chip, writing the test plan and testing the model using TCL scripts. Writing TCL scripts for test automation and porting. Coordinating, mentoring within the team. Debugging the functional C code model of the design.

Environment: The functional model in C and test bench developed using System-C. It has a TCL interface to generate the traffic and to configure the table and registers of the model through the driver. Test cases are written using TCL.

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN DURING GRADUATION:

Centralized electrical Billing system for accuracy, automation, Privacy and energy saving (Diploma level). Auto on/off of television and music system during telephone conversation (Paanchajanya 2009-10). Final Year Project was Smart Shopping Cart.

Academics: Stood 1stto the college during final year in diploma. Stood 7th in Belgaum region & 90th in State (E&C stream) in C.E.T. Awarded by cash prizes for securing rank during school and college. Co-Curricular: Participated in elocution competition during school level. Presented a paper on BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY during diploma. NSS: was an active member of the camp for providing services such as repairing electrical equipment and awareness about education. Utilized my acting skills in a skit performed for Indradhanushya (NGO for children) and acted in a Marathi movie PLATFORM in negative role. Active member of Rotract Club of Belgaum (North) serving as Sargent-at-arms. Won Dumb Cherads competition as part of cultural fest and also Won Antakshari competition conducted by AEE. Actively took part in collection of funds for eradication of polio under Rotary club. Volunteered Management committee in the event Paanchajanya08- a national level tech fest organized by EC department. Represented my school in throw ball at state level and secured first place. Represented my school in football and cricket at zonal level and secured runners up place.
