1. locate the post 02sensors I had already fed mine through the empty access on the passenger side.

2. Use a fine sharp clipper to cut out the insulation but DO NOT CUT the wires.

3.According to the instructions with the 02sim you should use the +12V heater wire from the 02 sensor. But I got the help from a member on the M3forum.net that a red wire has the voltage needed and its constant. Use your Voltmeter to determine which red wire is +12V (must have your ignition on)

4.Great! Once you have found the +12V wire disconnect your battery! VERY IMPORTANT!

I found out my Strong strut is a great place to hold it while I do other things!

6. do yourself a favor and write out the matching colors from 02sim 02 sensor Red --> 12V (white) but I didnt use thisI use the red wire that wrapped in a wire loom by the fresh air filter Black --> Ground (Gray) White--> 02 signal (Black)

7. Expose the wires you need to solder. I used a razor blade and started shaving the plastic off.

8. DO NOT CUT..SPLICE I started off with the ground wire as stated in the instructions then power Remember : Red 12V (Red) Make sure you check with Voltmeter first! Black Ground (Gray) White 02 signal (Black)

9. IMPORTANT! CUT the black wires from the 02 sensor And solder the WHITE wire from 02sim to the Harness side! Do this for both 02 sensors.

10. after you do all that and before you start taping it up hook up the batter and check the 02simAhh its flashing green, what joy!

12.Used some Beataclean I had and cleaned the area where I was going to mount the box for the 02 sim with 3M double tape.

13. final! I cut an opening on the side so the wires can feed though and at the same time the LED shines itself though, just enough for you to know its working. Then I realized I can drill a hole up on top to see for sure if the green led is flashing. Boy, I get smarter by the day.

No SES lightbut I will have to drive it around for a bit! But that damn washer fluid bothers me now!
