New SensorQ Smart Labels Detect Packaged Meat and Poultry Freshness

Essentially, the sensor labels measure the growth of bacteria, which generates gases. Thus, the greater the level of bacteria growing on meat and poultry, the higher the amount of gases generated. The actual launch of the new SensorQ smart label was made possible by the financial support of several investors, including Swiss-based Inventages Venture Capital Investments Inc. and Dutch-based DSM Venturing B.V Also participating are Navigator Technology Ventures, private investors and FQSI's management. 'The SensorQ technology brings freshness monitoring for consumers to a new level and promises to make today's industry standard, the printed sell-by date label, an item of the past. FQSI has impressed me with this innovative product and I look forward to our being able to play an active role in supporting the company," says Dr. Gunnar Weikert, chairman, CEO and founder of Inventages Venture Capital Investments.
