Thoth- : Do We produce 1l of each elixir? In total I mean, before splitting up? Frater42 : You cant determine the end amount. It will be a small amount. The volatiles will be a small amount, the tea to a thick slug will be a small amount, the white ash will be a small amount. Frater MShoAT : Do the elixirs have an expiration date? Days? Weeks? Months? Frater42 : They should be ok, it is very, very rare for them to go bad. If they turn black after sitting around, dont take them. Ingestion schedule See appendix 1

The method for creating a Planetary Elixir

The method as given to us by Frater42 consists of the following: *Note that I have used our particular setup in the instructions* First Part (capturing the volatiles) Add your herb and water to the Round Bottom flask. (Herb should be macerated, crushed, cut or blended to make more particulate matter in the water. The herb needs to be in the water, not above it on a rack) Slowly raise the temperature to 99 C . One degree each minute will work. When brought to a full boil, then remove heat (move to the second part)

Second Part (cooking down the thick slug) Preserve the volatiles that you have captured in the distillation flask. Remove the herb material from your flask and preserve this in a separate container. The water you have left is a colored tea. Slowly cook this tea into a thick slug and preserve this (avoid burning this).

Frater MShoAT: What indicates that the thick slug is cooked enough? Frater42 : It is thick, there is a critical point where it can go from a runny state to being burnt you want the state that it is no longer runny, but not yet burning, as thick as molasses, or thicker (but not yet burning) Third Part (calcinations to white ashes) Put the preserved herb material into a container that can withstand high heat until it turns black. (This container can be a cast iron pan or a Pyrex container, however do not heat with the thick slug) Continue to heat it until it the black ash turns to a white ash. (The whiter the ash the more pure it is)

Completing the elixir Now you thoroughly mix the white ashes with the volatiles (Essential Oils), and then add and mix the thick slug.

Calcination Frater42: cast iron frying pan works This can be done with a normal cast iron frying pan. You place the herbs on your pan and you start heating.

Additional Theory
Frater MShoAT : How are inner alchemy and outer alchemy connected? Are we supposed to "work inner alchemy" during our practical alchemy in order to increase the success rate? Frater42 : When you are studying and practicing Alchemy full on, you can see how the experiments are also inner. However you need someone to help you with such, it isnt intuitive This inner work doesnt affect the basic experiments. The more developed it is, the skill to know what to do becomes developed. Instead of it taking 2 or more years for the answer to come to you, it will become months, then weeks and days. Frater MShoAT: Does outer alchemy automatically procedure the same work internally? Frater42 : It leads in the right direction Frater MShoAT :By understanding the method of the procedure, or by the actual physical deed? Frater42 : Both. Frater42: The Alchemy could be used the same as As above so below. In the same way you can improve yourself by improving those in your environment. You can do alchemy physically, which reflects astrally and being to your inner. Frater MShoAT: Can I share my document "Research on alchemy work"? Frater42 : Very quickly there will be things in it you shouldnt be sharing with people not doing the work. I also dont want people think I recommend Oil of Gold, or the Urine stone, they need to come to those things on their own. There are bad recipes for oil of gold, I dont want anyone getting hurt taking them. Also when I teach you how to make that particular thing, you are not to share the method with anyone, not even thoth-. If he has done the other stuff he can take it.

Frater MShoAT: I'm thinking of making the elixirs first and then reserving a period for ingestion. I think it's better we make sure we can take it 8/2 days continuously.
