Swansea Met on course for busy clearing
CAkEEk5, EDUCAIlON AND IkAlNlNG
AS Swansea Metropolitan
University celebrates yet
another successful year of
achievements, has been braced
for another busy Clearing
period with the expected rush
for places following a hugely
successful Clearing last year.
New students joining Swansea
Met this year will be encouraged by
performance indicators published in
recent weeks which demonstrates
that the University continues to
punch above its weight for an
institution of its size
For the third year in a row,
Swansea Met has produced
significantly more successful
graduate start-up businesses than
most other higher education
institutions in Wales. In addition,
world-leading accountants, Grant
Thornton, have indicated that
Swansea Met is financially the
strongest higher education
institution in the whole of the UK.
And the most recent figures
published by the Higher Education
Funding Council for Wales
(HEFCW) show that Swansea Met
is one of the most successful
universities in Wales for widening
access.
Professor David Warner,
Vice-Chancellor, said: We are
delighted with these figures which
show that studying a degree with us
can provide the knowledge and
skills essential for a job and good
career in todays ever competitive
jobs market.
A list of course vacancies
can be found at
