Most Insane Immersive Movie Experience Ever

Playstation 3 Initial inspiration: The projections could take the character from one environment to another so quickly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= VrgWH1KUDt4

In the past, projection mapping worked only from a single, static view point, and thus was very limited. By attaching the PlayStation Move to the camera, we can track projections to screens in real time, enhancing the effect of spatial deformation and false perspective on the projections and allowing viewers to look round (virtual) corners, bend walls, create a hole in the wall, or remove the walls altogether to reveal vast expanses of virtual worlds.

(Bot & Dolly)

Box explores the synthesis of real and digital space through projection-mapping on moving surfaces. The short film documents a live performance, captured entirely in camera Bot & Dolly produced this work to serve as both an artistic statement and technical demonstration. It is the culmination of multiple technologies, including large scale robotics, projection mapping, and software engineering. We believe this methodology has tremendous potential to radically transform theatrical presentations, and define new genres of expression.

Actor interaction with projection mapping, demonstrating how realistic projection mapping can look when timed perfectly. The audience doesnt ever get to know the person performing, theyre just there to remind the audience that it is in real time and not edited. The performance explores 4 types of magic: Transformation Levitation Intersection Teleportation In the final section of the video, the character enters the projections.

Light Leaks
Kyle McDonald and Jonas Jongejan A scattered array of fifty mirror balls reflect light from three projectors, filling a room completely with small reflections, casting patterns that fill the visitors peripheral vision. Creating a curious space that alternates between a meditative state, and an uneasy imbalance. http://vimeo.com/66167082 Refraction / Reflection inspiration.

Cantoni Crescenti with Raquel Kogan

WATER is a tactile-visual interface: a very large flexible observation mirror, designed to undergo distortions in function of the weight and position of the visitor; it is comprised of 45 Tecnovac plaques, 1 mechanical tactile sensing system and 05 ellipsoidal light projectors (ETC

Time Tilings
Pablo Valbuena Architecture is judged by eyes that see, by the head that turns, and the legs that walk. Architecture is not a synchronic phenomenon but a successive one, made up of pictures adding themselves one to the other, following each other in time and space, like music.

Obscura Digital Obscura Digital made various tiny models of a building, and filmed various experiments before projecting it back onto the original building. They dispersed inks around it, grew flowers etc. In other work they also was able to create live images to an orchestra and projection mapped Sydney Opera House. http://www.obscuradigital.com/work/detail/emergence-exploratorium/
